Who remembers those 2 AU XR8's that were at AFD a few years back? Both slammed with carbon bonnets.

I cant remember the plates but they looked sick. Make it look like those. :P

Red one had Decorsas and the other was black on Bonspeeds?

that wasnt the point, i just think a whole page on fuel econ from a 10 yr old falcon is terrible, we all know hes gonna sell it then buy something else, complain about that, sell it, then repeat. It was more the fact that other people on this forum could probly have alot more to bitch about in life than fuel economy, and just sick of reading the same shit in everythread he posts in.

Anyway, got my new brake rotors on earlier this week, thanks again Josh! :good: While I was there, I also relieved him of a set of BF 17's as they had tyres on them with tread! Plus, wing back on, now what do we think?

Update. Made the epic trip over to Hallam for the CVE dyno day on Saturday, and had it up on the dyno just for shits to see what was what. The old bucket managed to pull 150.4rwkw. I am pretty happy with that, considering all it’s had done is a K&N panel and a shitty 2.5” single exhaust! So looks like she is in half decent shape to start some power mods.
So, I am almost complete with what I need for a full service. So far I have a set of NGK BPR6EFS-13 plugs, MSD replacement coils, Nulon 15w-50 full synth oil, and a Z9 filter. Just need to decide what leads to buy and I’m done. Hope to get the service done this weekend.
Also booked it in with my exhaust bloke for Friday! After hearing how good all the other V8’s sounded on Saturday, I figured I should do something! Going in for new Ballistic cats and a twin 2.5” into single 3” custom system with single muffler. Hopefully should sound pretty sweet!

Ain't got much go.

Shouldn't have bought it with the paint that bad.

A really good detail on it would bring it up good, but it's red so you gotta keep the up keep on it!

Not much go yet anyway, hopefully that will change in the near future. I was going to get it detailed when I first bought it, but the weather has been no good and it lives outside. So not much point really, and I bought it knowing this. If/when the time comes to get my own place, and I still have this, the outside will get looked at.

Gil, if it was a VX, I would be pretty tempted. Not a fan of the VT. I did look for VX’s before this, but couldn’t find one that wasn’t already thrashed. I just find the AU interior a much nice place to be also.

Shane did my VY and did a fucking fantastic job. I would recommend him 10 times over. I payed the same for an outside only job 2 years ago and this was way similar quality to that work.

Detailing is the so under-appreciated and under-rated by people on these forums. It's literally legit magic.

I saw pics of an old Landcruiser they did, it seriously looked like it had had a respray it changed that much, and $250 for a full car detail is bugger all to have it done properly, not talking about a carpark carwash job, these guys are professionals, and they do a damned good job.

I was surprised with my mates TE50 only making 186, somethings not right there.. makes yours look good tho!

Shane and the guys do an awesome job, they have done all my cars (not the ef yet). If you think $250 is expensive ring a few places and see what quotes you get.
Red cars normally look mint once detailed.. because they go so shitty over time.

I agree, $250 is an ok price. The cheapest quote I got was through my panel beater for $220. I’d like to do it sometime, but it feels like such a waste to park outside all its life.

Thanks Parfrey, like I said, I was pretty happy! No idea about the afr’s, I’ll see if I can get a copy of the dyno graph up tonight. Hopefully the full service freshen up and bigger exhaust get it running a little nicer too!
Yeah, I thought the TE was going to go over 200rwkw for sure! Ah well, sounded bloody nice though!

$250 inside and out by a qualified Detailer. Spot on the money. Alot of non qualified details out there charging excessive amounts for under average detailing.

Lol Qualified detailer? Are you going to ask him for a certificate? Most of the good old school detailers have all they need to know in their head.

Or you can buy my vy 5.7 wagon :) power and the practicality of a wagon!

I am more than happy to spend the cash if I have seen previous results.
