inb4 Freak Motor.

I am convinced it feels noticeably quicker than the XR8!

Noticeably quicker than your manual 220 XR8, which at one point you'd ripped the mixer off & ran on PULP?

If Ev were part of a Venn Diagram (an Ev Diagram?), he'd be somewhere between the Mobstar E-Series group, and the BA & BF group.

Todd is correct, I have no problem taking it all in my stride! I actually enjoy the creative combacks! Although I don't get Dave's diagram joke?

So does that mean you are saying I am slightly better than an e-series owner, but not quite as fully sick as a b-series owner? If so, I take that as a compliment!

As mush as I wish I could say i was responsible, unfortunately it wasn't my doing this time around! My best mate put it together as a gift for my birthday last week, which is still pretty awesome! According to him, the engine was in a VY SS ute, that threw a piston due to oil loss during a skid. That piston was unusable, so he decided to just go for the even look of six. Which to be honest i am happy with.

Anyway, as for the current AU, noting to report. Still running smooth and boring. No money to get something else just yet, and kinda pointless doing anything to this. Although a lsd would be nice if anyone has one they are looking to flog!

Oh dear.

To paraphrase from The Lion King

Ev - "Oww! Geez what was that for?"
Dave - "It doesn't matter! It's in the past! And you bought ANOTHER AU XR8 WHEN WILL YOU LEARN ERMAHGERD DO YOU EVEN EVAN"
Ev - "Yeah but it still butthurtz when I sell every 6 months"
Dave - "Ahh yes, but the way I see it, you can STICK WITH ONE AU AND LEARN FROM THE PAST."

Image

To recap:
You spent fair coin on a dual fuel AUIII manual XR8 in good condition. LPG was a little dicky so you sold it for the same price you bought what's basically an AUIII Forte 4.0 stocker...
You've probably sold the SR at a loss and spent fair coin on another AUIII manual XR8.

You're back to where you were at with the previous AUIII manual XR8 but with no gas system, and thousands $$$ down the hole.

With all the transfer fees you must pay to VicRoads, they probably have set up a new ticketing option: ARE YOU EVAN [YES/NO], and if you select YES you skip the line to pay your money even faster.

LOL!! Never fails to deliver! Dave is my Rafiki!!

Pretty sure, at this point, me making any fiscally responible decision is out the window. Clearly I am in love with AU XR8's, and this is the ultimate
configuration in my eyes, so I bought it! A sunroof would have been nice, but other than that it's sweet! The thing isn't perfect, but I didn't exactly pay perfect money for it. However, it's clean, looks awesome, goes well, and is manual! Despite the fact these words are moot by now, but I will endeavour to keep this one around. I'd love to get another Raptor kit on it eventually, but it needs a few other things first.

Oh, and you are pretty close about the LMCT John! I believe the rule is more than 5 transfers and I'd need to register? I've come close, but not exceeded as yet! :P

Ah, it's good to have a car to waste money on again! Spent all day putting my stereo in this thing. Also pulled out all the cop wiring harnesses and shit that was left in there. I took advantage of the current sale at Repco and bought a new harmonic balancer, got it for $200! Also purchased a new Exedy standard spec clutch kit 0ff eBay. Hopefully it turns up by Tuesday so I can take the lot to my mechanic to get it all fitted up, and also get the rest of the car checked over. Once it's all good, then it will be up to get a new twin exhaust. The one that is on there is some shitty single.

I also still have the SR, got it inspected for roadie this morning, and it only needs a couple of small things. I might hold off on advertising it till the XR8 is all sorted. I like having a choice between driving two cars! :P
