Boosted Falcon

Hey guys just showing some pics of my shitter, that i scored for 500 bucks!

Quick run down, its a 96 EL Fairmont Ghia with the following options:

5L V8
Leather interior (unsure if this was an option in the EL Ghias?)
Sunroof (still works perfect and doesnt leak that ive noticed)
Premium sound
And its also got Pacemaker extractors, straight through exhaust, ROH 18s, LPG.

Ive had it for about 2 weeks now and in that time ive just cleaned it up a bucket load and it still needs more, replaced a couple lights, new tyres, new battery, new cooling system, tinted tail lights, colour coded centre of boot garnish etc. I think so far all up its cost me about 800?

Anyway time for pics, first are when i first got it then through the stages of being cleaned up.

Leather interior was standard on EL Ghia's.

That's a great buy for what it is. I payed $6500 for one in similar condition 3.5 years ago!

Leather/Velour was standard on EL Ghia, full leather was an option

I actually thought it was the other way.
hence why the 1/2 1/2 is so rare

Far out brusselsprout!! That is awesome for the price. Love the Ozuros, they are a classy rim. So what are the plans for it? How does it drive and all? Oh and one last question...where did u find it for $500 bucks?

Damn I just checked, you fags are right. Velour was NCO on EL Ghia, on August '96 and November '97 printed spec sheets. Proven wrong My reputation is in ruins

damn good score for $500. even if you spent $1500 tidying it up its a good score. kinda glad i mines gone if the prices are getting that low now

are they genuine azzurros? them alone would be worth more than 5 hundy.

That car was mint Sunny, just replacing the chrome side mouldings made a huge difference.

Look for weed under the back seat. SA = home of cheap E-Series

The rims arent genuine azzuros, as it says in the first post their ROH's, it drives pretty well actually, needs new brakes and theres a sus vibration which im thinking might be unis or gearbox mount or something.

It was a friend of a friend who had it sitting for about a year, their mechanic was a dumb **** and told them its going to cost more to fix everything then the cars worth. Main problem was it over heating, i replaced the cooling system my self and it cost $180 haha.

I actually want to get a set of stock rims, and slam it with white walls and its just going to be a daily when i get my license back, ive got some decent plans for my AU (which also has a build thread in here somewhere.) My main plans for now are to just clean up the body a **** load, replace the chrome trimmings etc.

Im so stoked with it though, the pacemakers alone would probably be worth nearly 500!

No but these are actually ROHs, they have ROH on the centre cap, look a little different, and my mate has the same ones on his VS.

The wheels are ROH Azzuro's..they made them in a number of offsets and pcd's.. The ford ones were made by ROH and although also called Azzuro's are slightly different in the center. Google ROH azzuro.

Ohh my bad, i thought only the ford ones were called azzuros.
