Holy shit dude! Looks fantastic! Deffs abit of coin spent on the motor.
Out of curiosity how come you stuck with the 5.0, and didn't go an lS1?

Mate absolutely love your work! my mates mum used to have one of these used to love thrashing it when she was away haha. Very nice interior in the caprice too def the pick of the bunch. be sure to put up some vids of how it sounds maybe some skids drags etc hehehe

Kester its a VS mate the old 5ltrs are still decent especially stroked my mates 355 vs runs mid 11s and sounds absolutely off tap, the old 5ltr still has a place especially in a car that matches the age. I applaud not just converting it to ls1 much more of a mean machine how he has done it then just another vs with a ls1 slapped in it

Speechless

I've been lurking a bit on Just Commodores, always popped in to check on this.

Fucking sexy. :D Nailed the stance too. Wasn't there some pics of it with FRs? They looked brilliant on it. I understand you wanting something a bit different though.

Much cooler with a 5.0 too. Keeps the class in it for me, LS1s are everywhere. 5.0 probably sounds better too?

haha cheers mate, prob the most comfy interior holden has ever brought out. wish i could find a another clean caprice to be a daily. and tag job for when i get done lol

theres always some fun, blood, sweat and tears mixed with building a car. never really think about the money in the end, if you want it, you some how find a way to make it happen. just the way life is.

i dont know, LS never crossed my mind when i was plannin for conversion to be honest. i did own a VZ maloo and ill admit the thing was quick as ****, but it did nothing for me. hard to explain. like i jump in the stato and i get half a chub ridin converter lol

Dansedgli wrote:Nice!!

the stock ones are complete junk. listen at the end of the day the engine isnt a power plant. its more of a tuff streeter. i never planned on makin big numbers with it, more to have people stop and look and admire. i could be one of these little wippa snippas with a LS and a tune and think my car summernats burnout car of the year, but im not haha

you liked it with the FR's? i thought it did no justic. i fuckin love FR's dont get me wrong but i reckon they looked like shit on it. whats other peoples opinion?

haha exactly right, cars like this ar fuckin classy like ron burgundy lol. ive always prefered the sound of worked 5lt, more solid.

Can't say I'm a fan of the FR's. Not enough "meat" on them for a luxury car like a Caprice, if that even makes sense..
New rims like great though!

Nice to know whats done to it exactly, you and the boys talk so much shit on JC :P

Done a good job building this man, mint as fark. Be good when it's finished

You mean Simmons made rims other than FRs!?

They looked great I thought, bit plain on it now you mention it though.

+1 for proper pics of RVs. The sigs look great too, first car I've liked them on.

I get the whole 5.0 vs LS1 thing. Its not about peak power, its about attitude.

Get us some sound vids?

Absolutely love it on the RV's White centred rims on white cars FTW!

Bonnet will look epic, theres one around here in silver with it and it suits the shape well.

8TB's are insane too! Something I always wanted to do with the old wagon

i agree, from going to sigs, a big chunky rim, to a real thin sporty rim. it just didnt look right. i think the RV's are perfect, still a classy as fk rim, but with the simmons name to back it!

SLO247 wrote:You mean Simmons made rims other than FRs!?

haha ye man i member when the RV's first came out, they were something like 1200 a rim. the first 20" tony simmon produced. at the end of the day, you can have a fully worked 5lt stroked to a 383, but you do a heads and cam package to a LS and it'll beat it. but the 5lt will always sounds better lol

EF ECTIV wrote:mint... top work...

thanks man, alot of credit goes to my mates. they've been there to support me and help me out with the whole build

deansxr6 wrote:This has car has pretty much inspired me to sell/burn my EB an sell my calais and buy a caprice. This is dope, want a caprice soooo bad now. Your hard wok has definatley paid off !!

haha, i just hope i inspired some people to go more all out on their car. the car scene has really died and its a shame, so many cars that have more potential out there but everyone holds back to avoid defects etc.

LTDHO wrote:Neat ride. Until I saw the new bonnet, but back to neat when I saw the 8 TB's

lol man, i used to fkn hate, with a passion, reverse cowls. its sorta grew on me. but ill always prefer the standard bonnet. but unfortunally the manifold wont fit under it haha
