YES.

I don't have a diagram on me nor am I familiar with the I6 dizzy's firing order, but if you fk up the order you'll send spark off to the wrong cylinder(s).

Have you got a user manual or something? That should tell you. Or even the dizzy cap itself maybe? (little markings like | || ||| |||| * *| *|| *||| although these may be on the boots of the leads, I can't remember)

Sorry, I automatically count to eight when it comes to engines :P

Or... if it's all still hooked up, trace the leads, draw the dizzy cap on a piece of paper & number each point. Easy

The stock dizzy cap has 1,2,3 etc ontop of it. They are small numbers so you'll have to look hard to find them.

Ford must of been high when they designed the ignition system to fit under the manifold.

If you can just pull one of at a time, then replace it with a new one. Repeat until done. That way you wont have to know the numbers on the dizzy.

I take them all off the plugs, pop the cap off, and then pull the cap out with the leads still on. Do it with a cold engine and remove the idle air control motor first (the lump on top of the throttle body).

That way you can easily replace the leads one at a time with leads of the correct length, and face them the correct way. Then you just feed all the leads back up in between the same intake runners you pulled them out of.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.
