Beginning Of The End

Postby Tocchi » April 4th, 2008, 3:40 pm

it's finally happened, the first stage to leaving the E-series... unless an XG can be considered a "E series" due it being a 1995

i've put my deposit down on a FG XR8 (black, manual) + luxury pack (19s, leather trim, premo sound, dual zone climate control)
$53,500

and im soon selling the EF XR6T

already got plans for the 8
- 20% tint
- Superlows
- ditch the 19s, riding on 16" pursuits

as i said, its the beginning of the end! :|
FG XR8 -- [RU 16 WA]
Simmons FR19s, Brembo 6 pot [f] 4 pot [r], 5% tint, Malwood 'Option 3+' clutch, Tein coilovers + EDFC, Whiteline adjustable swaybars, GTE bootlid spoiler, 2x Bride Zeta 3 fixed back seats, Volk TE37 track rims

EF XR6 Turbo -- SOLD

1971 Capri
shitty Garrett T51, pathetic fuel system (dash 10 earl fittings and lines, Prostar 750s x 2, 2433cc Siemens injectors, Process West fuel rail).
Atomic Chrome Moly Flexplate ... built powerglide transbrake etc
quite embarrasingly shit

Will the brakes fit under the 16s?

Nice purchase BTW!

Brakes won't fit under the 16s, 100%, unless Ford go back to BA brakes with the FG LOL

53,500 is good, is that including on roads?

yeh its $53,500

breakdown
RRP = 45,490
Luxury pack = 5000
delivery fee = 1295
stamp duty = 2956
12 months rego = 514
discount = 2155

thats a shame about the brakes lol
cos the XR5T have "flower" rims, which look way small (like 17s, when they are really 18s)
Image
hopefully the 19s are different in design... and not gay focus flower ones

Nooo... its an XR8 like he very clearly stated in the first post LOL

Fucken hell, pricing is bloody good for the FGs LOL
Maybe I should have waited and got a G6ET :?

Ford do 17" steel stockies for the BF XRs, they look like proper stockies, holes instead of gay territory ones.
Theres a bloke doing em on ebay for 160 a pair, i was gonna grab a set to use for drag rims, try and get some nittos for them.
Apparently they are expensive as shit from ford.

the FG has territory suspension/brakes, unless i read the specs incorrect, that means 340mm twin piston front brakes. can anybody confirm this for me?

congrats on the purchase, a mate is waiting for his FG XR8, he got every option and it came to $59k

You will love the black it looks horn, ford has one on the showroom here in mackay, but remember be fusy as all hell when picking itup, check under the bumper for scratches, becuase salespeople dont inform customers on scratches like that while the car is in transit

The optional 19's look like a larger version of the BAXR 17". I think. Or is that wheel the option for the XR6 and the XR8 gets the Focus style? I dunno...
