With the car lowered it would have been under a meter of where the OTR sits. So it could e done really easy. Deep enough puddle/going through at a reasonable pace it would easily go over the bonnet.
Also saw a navara go through a decent puddle and drenched some poor bitch on a bike. Lols happened.

Who the **** attempts to go through water that's even half a metre deep?

I'd be interested to see how high an OTR on a VE is compared to the stock intake on my NC - anyone wanna measure a VE for me?

lol i guess thats about the best responce id expect from you mate.
but long story short- was driving in worst rain i think i ever had, couldnt see 2foot infront of me.
was following seth and saw he went through water and before i had a chance to stop i was in the water then BANG and something went bang and car died. had some people stop and help us push it out of the water.
and as my radiator is on a lean to suit the OTR im assuming thats how so much water go in there.

Thats pretty shit. I've always heard about this, but have only heard of it happening to 4WDs.

The OTR would be similar height to the NC. I'd say the difference being it's aimed straight into the manifold, where on an E-Series, the water would have travel uphill a bit.

On the bright side, LSx stroker crate motors are mega cheap, and our dollar is good.

Yeah fair enough if you didn't see it due to the rain, I was more talking about people who do it on purpose (I watched a BMW X5 die a watery death in 2009 - it was following a pajero, the pajero pulled over to do a u-turn to avoid the water but the X5 guy drove around him, massive bow wave then glug glug glug....tow truck time)

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

water can be deceptive as hell too, it might look a lot shallower than it really is...

Is it only the motor that got damaged?

What is one worth from the wreckers?
