FG's are fo0kin mint!! The interior posted above is probably the best looking in a Falcon Ive seen from the factory.

Slightly OT, saw an FG XR6 ute today, slammed on the standard 18's and boy did it look tough!!

I dont like the Falcon/XR dash and manual center console, how ever the G6E/G6ET is where the shit is at, the gloss of the ICC changes the whole look of the dash i think

I know the title was the falcon AKA G6 how ever the interior is a lot better looking in the G6E/T

i wish they were going to do a v8 luxury model (fg ?)

shatterd its only a turbo 6 or na 6,

i have been told the only way to get an 8 is a xr or a gt.

cant even order a base falcon with an 8.

You haven't been able to buy a V8 Falcon (that isn't a Xr8 or a GT) since 2006 so I don't know why you are whinging now. Plus their is always the GT-E with the "boss" 315.

The delay of the FG F6 is a cunning ploy by ford to get rid of all the remaining BOSS stock lying around gathering dust at the factory. Once the TURBO comes out the GT will be extinct, thats my theory anyway.

That wont work.

People who want turbo's wont catch Aids and want a V8 just because they will get the car sooner. NA Ford V8's are shithouse, Australia is starting to understand this.

Isn't the majoritiy of sales for FPV done with the V8s? It seems silly to be buying a car that is heavier, handles worse, uses more fuel, doesn't go as fast and hasn't got as much torque. Its funny watching all those N/A V8 fools on AFF try to defend the BOSS engine by saying "oh they don't free up untill 10,000 kays" and "but the pulling power of the V8 puts a smile on my face". Pfff the F6 would rape those overweight truck engines anyday. I bet if decent turbo engines were around in the late 60's/ early 70's Ford Australia wouldn't of been fucking around with Windsor/ Clevo V8s just for the sound.

Yeah but I love reading the arguments on AFF about the reasons why.

Like i said it could be done.... but the demographic for a hot V8 is slightly different to that of the T6...
IMO there isnt anywhere near the amount of buyers with 155K to spend on a special T6 as there is on a N/A hot V8....

Its already well proven with FPV sales going 2:1 V8 to I6T...

Never let reality get in the way of a good story.

FPV B series V8 (actual general availablity) April 2003 to April 2008 (60 months)
FPV B series T6 (actual general availability) May 2005 to April 2008 (35 months)

But this is statistics and statisticly 1 + 1 = 3 except when it equals 1.76.

But I do agree that there is more emotion than logic in the V8 market than T6 because I am fairly sure the 300 GT40s and 400 Cobras were sold on the basis of heritage, genre and ethos rather than outright performance.

The FG XR6T/F6 models *were* delayed, but that is over. Reading various sub-forums on AFF, it appears quite a few private buyers have them in their hands now.

Haha are AFF clueless V8 biased dumdumbs...

When it comes to V8's Their is the Pusuit/superpursuit GT/GT-P (puls the Cobra and GT40th) and the force 8...then the Typhoon/Tornado, R-Spec and Force 6 for the turbos

Thats 7 v8's v's 4 turbos of course their is going to be more V8's sold if there is a bigger range of them...i'ld say that, if their was 4 V8 models the Turbo would be on par or selling more...
