AU motor for the EF Sounds like a good idea to me, heck its basically a brand newy! (P.S. Love this car John, I first saw it at a cruise at Albert Park back in 2005 when I was there with onereded and I've been a keen follower of the build threads since)

the trans will likely go in the EF.
current one is randomly going into LHM, can't work out why.
if i can sort the current one out, i'll keep it, its done well with the turbo so far
