BTR weight and size

So i have to go pick up a BTR for my car on the w/e. Anyone know roughly how much they weigh? Would it fit into the boot of a pulsar sedan? any other tips for moving it around to avoid getting transfluid everywhere?

It should fit. I put one in the back of a wagon. It was shorter than the width of the door by a fair bit.

They are 40 odd kg's I reckon. Heavy but liftable for 1 person. Easier with 2.

Nope, but you need 2 people to lift one. I'd guess ~40kgs, more bulky than heavy though.

Yep, I shoved my EB's current one into a Meteor sedan boot

Garbags in the boot should do the trick. Shoving rags in the bellhousing, torque converter centre (if you're getting one of those with the box), and around the output shaft will help stop leakage. Of course, dropping the pan & emptying the box before putting it in the boot may help both in weight and leakage.

Getting it in/out of the boot will be the challenge just due to the bulkiness.

You can get tarps at Bunnings and places like that. That will prevent stains on the carpet. It's definately a 2 person job to load it in there though. Those BTRs are bloody heavy.

um they are more than 40kg for sure, they are heavy pieces of shit!

my tko 600 was around 50kg's and i that is easy to lift compared to the btr auto. my guess would be 65 - 75kgs

well i picked up a btr up yesterday lifted it out by myself out of my boot carried it 10 metres there not that heavy also it will fit in the back of a box car with gas tank easy

they are fuckin heavy. but 2 guys can lift it. id never even consider it by my self.
if you are lucky enough to have a the front peice of a tail shaft ya can stick that in while ya move it around. and jus put some string or something on so it doesnt fall out. does well holding the oil in.

yeah but the hardest part is getting it out of the boot i was trying not too hit the bumper an me toes if it was too heavy lol
did not have too worry about the bumper as some junky fuckin vl driver decided too run up me ass today..
