black xr6

Postby stuie's xr » August 15th, 2008, 1:19 pm

g'day all, im stuie recently joined thought i might tell ya about my ride its a petrol sucking series II eb s xr6, enyway im happy with what i bought off my mate for alittle under 2g with a small dent in the bonnet. when i got her she was stock as a rock and in mint comdition and running great with 260km on the clock. When it was roadworthy time i wasnt expecting to much it needed a new windscreen, lower control arm bushes, boots, tailshaft seal, new pads and new rear tyres but my own work stil charged me $1300 including labour and i was not happy as im on 1st year apprentice wages. After the roadworthy it was running fine [ not as good as when i first got it ] but thats when it started playing up, the starer motor needed reconditioning, needed a battery, it sqeeked louder then ever and the lifters were just as loud, its since had new belts, battery and new lifters and the alternator died on me the other day so that made it the 3rd time ive spend in the backseat overnight broken down on the side of the road. moving on she's finally running ok after putting a new 110a alternator so shes quiet on start ups and starts first time everytime. only two mods so far have been added clear indicators and 19' fpv cobra wheels [ 2nd hand small scratch on 1 of em ] but looks great!!! enyway thats my story and pics will be posted soon.

cheers.
