Ford R5 http://www.trueblueford.com/FalconR5ute2.html
It has BA style interior. It was released as concept in 2000.

Ford would have used it to gauge opinion on the design.
lol. They had to get as far from the AU as they could, and the R5 concept was a good pointer to the direction they wanted to take.Commando wrote:Ford would have used it to gauge opinion on the design.
Obviously this is a new-age concept from after the AU days

Yep. As soon as I saw that, I knew. That was still one of the best looking V8 Supercars of all time, despite being an AU!AaronEF8 wrote:Did anyone ever notice the paint job on Lowndes' 00 Green Eyed Monster AU? The headlights had black around them to mimick the BA XR design, in 2000.

FPV did the same with their BF V8SC paintjobs last year, notice the paint around the headlights is shaped to look like FG XR headlights.
Or compare XP front ends to XR, XY to XA, XC to XD, XF to EA, OMG they all look similar!!! Conspiracy theory for sure. Ford learnt not to change shit too much with the AU.
PS: anyone who bought an AU should be constantly reminded how much they suck, especially if it's a series 1
