This came into my work the other day

im not aloud to take photos of clients cars, thats why they are a tad crappy.

i dont know much about this thing, but this is what i do know:

-It was a V8 supercar for the 2000-2001 Supercar series
-It was purchased in 2003 from fordf for $50,000
-Its been completley rebuilt from scratch
-It has more BHP than an FG V8 Supercar. Craig Lowdnes drove it around Sandown and was scared of it
-It idles at 3 grand
-Driving it in the dry is like driving it in the wet on bald tyres

It sounds like its going to eat you..best car ive ever heard :D

Whoever told you it's an ex V8SC is touching themselves. It's hard to believe it's making over 700bhp with that manifold, all the standard ancilleries, std fuel rails and extractors that small.

Some more info and thrash vids would be good though :P

[edit] The reason I find it hard to believe it's a V8SC because it has factory brakes, brake lines, suspension, ABS, radiator, radiator support, header tank, bonnet, inner guards, wipers, windscreen, windows, bodykit, everything you can see of the interior. All that stuff uses mounts and holes that aren't put on a V8SC to save weight. It also has factory engine bay paint, seam selds and sikaflex'ed seams. And a lack of massive rollcage.

Like i said, its been gutted and rebuilt to make roadworthy so a few mounts and brackets may have had to be put back to factory spec.

and theres a big f-off 24 point roll cage that went in there today. i know because i made it and put it in ;)

if i get to take it out in the car park tomorrow, ill do what i can with vids but promise NOTHING! :D

The idea of having a AU Supercar remade for road use is just bullshit. Somewhere in a mag of V8 X they summed up the possibility of it happening and there was too many barriers. And why would they send a machine like that (thats assuming if it is real) to a dealership?

The V8supercar is pretty much built around the rollcage. They don't just get showroom cars and slap a rollcage and different mechanicals in. There's not a hope in hell that it's an Ex-V8 Supercar.

I don't think it could ever be done with the 1993-2008 Supercars. Late in the Group A era there might of been alittle more representation of a real Commodore/ Falcon simply with a roll cage slotted in. I know that the E Series Supercars had fabricated floorpans, relocated rear suspenion mounting points and roll cages that go through the firewall and cross brace the chassis so simply trying to register one would be in fvcking possible.

Isn't it funny that the Australian Group A Commodores/ Falcons were more closely related to there road going counterparts than the equivilant V8 Supercar? Which is a series that is designed to represent the "best" Australian manufactures have to offer.

No way that was a V8SC.

Where's the pics of the massive inboard 4-link rear? And V8SC's are tubbed in the front.

No way would it be making that kind of HP without individual runner injection.
