TWR40T In The 12's!

Postby TWR40T » September 11th, 2008, 12:09 am

I went out to eastern creek tonight & i ran a 12.657 at 115.49 MPH with a 2.2 60FT wheel spinning 1st & 2nd gear with an early shift to 3rd with my street tires on
Then i dropped the pressure in the tires, turned the boost down to 15psi and run a 12.327 at 115.87 with a 2.123 60 FT wheel spinning again 1st & 2nd...So next up a set of slicks and see how we go.

shit.... awesome efforrt man... that 60 ft still has room for improvement so the 1/4 should keep tumbling./..

im yet to do my first boosted run and ive lost my licence for 10 mths so it will be a wait...unless i can get a mate to run my car down for me.. im only running 10psi...

You should be able to cut easy 1.5 60's with slicks

pics of this car? sounds like fun

What boost did you do your first run with? i would have thought trap speed would have been higher with more boost.

Congrats on that effort mate. That is an awesome time and slicks will nail it even more. All the best with the slicks next time round

ill get some photos and put them up....the first run was on 17psi...but it was wheel spinning too much thats why i turned the boost down to try and get some traction

the zuke its an 87 model, it has a izusu 2.3l turbo diesel out of a jackaroo in it, 33 inch mickey thompson baja claws tyres, 3 inch body lift from big balls offroad, im in the process of changing the diffs and doing the spring over conversion, it has four hella spotties on a custom front bar, it has a 4 and a half tonne winch...thats all i can think of for now... got more to spend tho
