hey guys

any one know where to find out what the engine and trans codes stand for ?

i can find paint codes in my workshop manual ( big blue one)

but i cant find engine and trans,

my brother wants to know what ENG P and TRANS W stand for

also waht color is platinum? is it a silver color ?
70mm t/b and maf, extractors and exhaust, 2500 stall, stage 2 shift kit, ultra lows, pioneer/clarion stereo.

soon to be 347...

Yep. My car is Platinum.

or do ebs and eds have it

EA-EDs were available in it. Actually I think you could get XFs in platinum as well and I have heard of the occasional platinum EF. YBYAVL is also Platinum.

I just checked out my compliance plate and it's also got engine code P and trans W. Therefore P means it's got a 3.9litre with multipoint fuel injection (I'm guessing they use a different code to the CFis but I may be wrong) and like cartz said, it is a 4 speed auto (which is what mine was originally).

yeah apparently its a eb 1 ghia

so i figured it would be auto
