Hoon Laws QLD Channel 7 :: 26/Sept/08

Postby FairmontXR6 » September 26th, 2008, 6:33 pm

Did anybody else see the report on the hoon laws, on channel 7 tonight?
Gold coast police have impounded over 900 cars, 135 this year, they also named the hot spots for hoon activity (nerang, southport and surfers paradise).
The new "law" is on the 1st offence they take your car, and use that time to send it to a mechanic to check for defects.

Won't belong before QLD police take over from the Church as the richest organisation.... :roll:

When was that?
I'd thought I would post this up because they impound the car (as per before) but also send it to the mechanics to check for defects, as per 1st post.

NSW you get 3 months straight up + usually a defect
Vic its 48-3months then sale (appently) and usually cop a defect on the day of the impound

I suspect that's sarcasm Malakai, but it is very tempting...the harsher the punishments the more likely it is for people to run, It'd be bloody tempting to do a runner if you didn't think they had seem your plates...

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

You could always fit a revolving set of number plates ala The Transporter movie.
