Newbie intro, EF turbo with Megasquirt and soon auto control

Postby devojet » September 30th, 2008, 1:28 pm

I have been playing with an EF Fairmont with a basic turbo set up and a Megasquirt ECU. I have designed a plug and play kit for the megasquirt ecu into EF and I will soon be doing some testing of a the new Megasquirt GPIO controller to control the BTR auto gearbox.

Regards

Daniel.

Sif blunt. Spring water bottle octabong baby! lol.

Thats great news, using the MS2 GPIO ext. board to control the BTR looks like one of the best ways to get BTR control. And best of all, the GPIO trans control functions will be virtually the same between I6 and V8.

Will you be running the MS2 as a stand-alone and removing the EEC eventually? How far into the BTR side of things are you? Do you want to share some/lots more details? :P

He is trying to sell these as kits on fordmods so the info might not be so forthcoming.

I have gathered together most of the info I require to control the BTR but I still have a fair amount of experimenting to do. I'm currently waiting to recieve my beta test GPIO board which will hopefully be sent out some time this week.

As for the MS2 install, I am trying to sell packages but I don't mind sharing the details as anyone who is going to do it themself is not going to buy one from me anyway. ;) So if you have any questions about megasquirt ask away. :)

Regards

Daniel.

I'm on the Gold Coast. I could have a look if you can get it to me.

Cheers

Daniel.
