Dont touch your wheels/tyres until you can afford new ones. If you paint them black no-one will buy them. If you leave them silver you might get a few hundred which will help pay for new wheels.

Redwalls and whitewalls look like arse and will need to be redone when your tyres go bald or you upgrade your wheels. Its a waste of cash imo.

I reckon the normal XR wheels look way better than the ones you have. You can probably get a straight swap for them with yours. And then +1 for whitening the brand name on the sidewall (rather than just a line all the way around).
