FG of course. G6ET plz :D

BA's are still too expensive for me. After having a car loan, I've decided they are shit, so I'll pick the best that I can't afford :P

Lol. I actually can't decide. After sitting in an FG XR6T and G6ET, and reading the reviews, I'm still drawn to the BFIIs. The SRs look sexy as IMO.

gotta be the FG, even the XR & GE6T look like pure sex and thats before even taking the FPV models into
account... They make the BA/Fs look dated by comparison.... although Im a big fan of the BF phoons and
series 2 & 3 of the TE/S50s.....

I like the FG interior a lot. Having the screen up high is a brilliant idea IMO, as well as iPod control, bluetooth (I know BF's have bluetooth) and raised console. Thats pretty much why I'd pick one.

In the future though, I can see myself buying a BF XR6T with a ZF auto. They aren't exactly bad :P

Im a fan of all T-Series, especially the T3. Love the BF range of FPV's and the BF2 Ghia, and the FG range too, G6ET is just pure sex, as is the GT-E!

FG turbos are teh sex.

There was a poll on AFF showing G6ET ownership among forum members being high in comparison to the spread along the rest of the range. Also 6T models were killing V8s, pity that it is only representative of the "enthusiast" market - I bet the V8 is still out-selling the 6T in the broader market.

Here's the poll - http://www.fordforums.com.au/poll.php?d ... ollid=1409

Also notice how the G6ET is outselling the G6E and G6.

FG Typhoon for me going by looks only, although Im not a fan of any newer cars really, Seeing way too many B-series getting around, more so then E-series.. The early Au's are just fugly, although I love the series 3 XR8, my bro has one in Blueprint and it looks mickymouse, T-series are schmick too.

I must admit I do like the AU Fairlanes Kr1sto. T-series and XRs were nice too. I reckon the FG has to be my favourite though. I'd love a G6E or GT-E if only they came in manual! I don't care how good the ZF auto is. I still hate autos.

The initial BA was the car that brought Ford Australia back onto the map. Good styling? Check. Awesome engines? Check (....not the Boss). Doesn't look like a cockroach? Check.
Who gives if the build quality was like a series 1 EA? :D

I smell ironing in your post.
What you are saying is paramount to saying that EA is the best E-Series.

Whats wrong with the BA 1 Steady?

I am one that voted for the BA1 cos I own one. Personally I think that they are a nice car to drive and no different really to mk2 and BF. I am quite happy with how they ride and handle but you cant compare an E series to a B series.

Exactly. It's sentimental b/s like Steady pointed out. It's just like people who would prefer an EA over anything EBII/ED. But they "saved Ford!"

As for the poll it'd be an FG of some description. AUII/III XR's, T-series, and Ghias are pretty decent but I'd still take a BF XR6T/Typhoon over any of those.

I am going against the lot of you and voting AUIII! :D Best incarnation of what I think is the best interior Ford has produced yet! The B series have too much cheap plastic for me. I haven't been in an FG yet, so I cannot comment on them. Also, the IRS on the AU is bloody terrific!

If I ever have one I'd put a six speed manual in it ASAP.

If everyone just voted for the best post E series model it would be the FG 48 out of 48. The BA stood for something regaurdless of the build quality- that Ford Australia was finally again building cars that people wanted.

No need to get fucking hositle from a simple vote.

BA, BA2, BF, BF2 are the same to me. Of course there would have been improvements with BA2 and BF but I just see them as all the same. Same goes with the EB2 and ED. They are the same car with minor cosmetic differences. It wouldn't have worried me if I got a BA or BF as i seem them the same. I got a good deal on the BA I have so thats why I voted BA1. I could have voted for all of them if there was a choice. Its just a vote lol
