ugly factory cars

Postby FOR.0EL » November 10th, 2008, 8:03 am

thought it might be a cool thread to start (probably not) but who knows, what do you lot think the ugliest factory car is?

i think the new commodore omega is pretty shocking, with the abnormally heigh rear, guards that would suit 12 inch wide muddies and just the overall rounded look...

I'm not sure why they've got that Sex & The City cougar on there. Maybe to emphasise that beneath that bland uninspiring exterior there's a cavernous adult-friendly interior?

I have to agree with all of those... even the the base model FG unfortunately. Get an XR6T or G6ET you cheap bastards.

A pic of a different coloured AU Forte would be worse. Makes the grill stand out more. But yeah I agree with most of the above. But all FGs look shit in most pics for some reason, but good IRL IMO.

Ford were just reaaaalllly lazy at the time of naming it. The prototype/showcar Ka Ford made was actually quite decent looking, I have nfi how it got transformed into that pug ugly shitbox.

I would have rated the EL as the ugliest factory Falcon, the GLi/Futura and Fairmonts were pretty wierd looking for their day, especially after the EF. Luckily the AU was built, and it made EL's look 11ty times better :P

I think the base VE Omega looks too aggressive for a family car when they're at standard ride height with stockies etc. You kinda look at all of them and think "thats just hanging for some 22's and SSL's".

Overall, Ford have a pretty decent representation in this thread. AU, Taurus, Ka. Add Festiva and Edsel to that list :P
