New LHD Commodores getting around

Postby Frost » December 3rd, 2008, 8:58 pm

I passed 2 today, I couldnt get my Camera out but I passed the New Pontiac "GT" which is a 4 door commo with differnt front end and a snowplough body kid.

And a Lincon I think it was, it was a Caprice with the same ass end but the front end had a really ghay bonnet ordainment 2 "flag poles" and yeah. Both had really Illegal dark tint front windows and completely black rear windows, infact I dont even think there was rear windows it was just a piece of plastic.

Will get snaps on the way tommorow.

Has anyone seen the new FGs they are exporitng around?

They don't make LHD Falcons, and Lincoln is a subsidary of Ford US.

I saw a Pontiac G8 yesterday as well, complete with LHD stickers across the rear. I have to say, I really do like the G8 front end. It just looks tougher than the standard VEs

Seen a G8 today at mornington, I agree with the above comment that they look heaps better than the commo.

I saw one ages ago in October 07 when I was washing my car...I had a chat to the guy driving it, but he wasn't really that talkative..

Yep, in Africa and the Middle East, they are called Chevrolet Luminas, and the LWBs are/were called Caprices

I work in Port Melb, opposite Holden, I see all sorts of stuff.

New Camaro convertibles, a statesman badged as a "Veritas" with a big bonnet ornament, statos badged as Buicks Park Royals, Chevy Luminas, Pontiacs.. you name it.

There was a blue statesman with Asian characters as badges (not anime.. Asian text ;) )

Saw a Cadillac CTS on Friday morning, looked alright.

Interestingly the Camaro convertible was cruising around with a new Mustang recently, both turned into HEC. GMH doing some comparitive testing maybe?

It's a Daewoo. http://www.caradvice.com.au/16233/holde ... o-veritas/
But working near a car factory would kick a$$.
