Car is back, and is running excellent, car took 24 hours to do due to mechanics other commitments and serpentine conversion. Car seems to have that slight bit more grunt now with the Ticky head and has a slightly more aggressive sound, because of the exhaust valves i believe. Im loving it so far, it's getting an A/C re-gas on Monday and a new battery tomorrow, mine is finally starting to bite the dust.

nice progress with your car. i just started reading your entire thread...

what did you end up doing with your original XR6 garnish? Do you still have it, even though the XR6 badge is missing?

thanks for all the comments guys, and to answer some questions.

edfairmont4.0 - I am getting a 977b when Wade is off Holidays, yup the head was shaved, it was the head Needfordspeed was selling but i payed extra to get it shaved.

OED666 - Thanks mate :), my original XR6 Garnish was infact off of LOW-XR before he got the proper one put on, i ended up trading that for a fairmont garnish, just to go with the whole luxo/sport look

LOW_XR - Yeh i think that will be the finishing touch, i don't want a genuine one from Ford unless it's cheap, so probably no luck :P.

I think they're only like $50ish new with the sensor bung, or $40ish without.

Those prices were from Bayfords in Campbellfield VIC. Just had a look on ebay, and they're definitely more like $80 on there, so possibly I'm just trippin balls.

haha lol, that powerdyne setup is mighty tempting but I dont think im ready for boost. I am planning on putting some extractors on soon, just gotta find a set for the right price.

psychotic-angel,
I got the BA Gear boot of someone who had it for sale on the forums, there mighty fiddly to install though.

eh how much of a difference did the EL manifold make on the stock engine?

the EB/ED engines seem to be pretty well off for low down torque, but does it increase the torque pretty much right through the rev range?

gives a bit more low down torque and a smoother ride, and at a certain RPM it opens a butterfly which allows more air to flow through the BBM (i tihnk thats how the butterfly works)

how are you finding the cam?

i dunno if its worth the change, if you hvae the parts readily available then go nuts, i found that my car went a lil better with it but that could be me imagining things.

As for the cam it's excellent, goes really hard with the gas, sometimes even chirps :P.

lol suprisingly even my EA can chirp and its CPI, it has the sprintgas setup and has been tuned so i doesnt loose power and the only disadvantage it has is that is uses a bit more petrol when it runs on it, it has a 75 usable ltr tank and i can get upto 600 kms out of it when i take it easy, and about 400-500kms when i flog it
