VS Statesman Caprice

Postby DaNeOs » January 14th, 2009, 8:57 am

Well i got rid of the patrol and got something more comfortable and fun to drive. Im the second owner, and it also had full service history so that was a bonus.
Its was completely standard minus the 17" ANZ Matrixs. All you biased one sided ford fans dont bother with your "OMG its a holden " shit.

VS Statesman Caprice
5Ltr
4 Speed Auto
Leather Interior

Front Springs - SL
Rear Springs - SSL

Wheels - 15" Ceptors till VE GTS's are found

Its away having the exhaust done at the moment someone put on a 2 1/2" with 1 muffler about a meter long.
Plans are to have the Auto done up and Diff rebuilt with 3.9's (not by keysy diff's) this time, should see it ready for the nats

Then after nats i plan to do Heads, Cam and slowly start getting it ready for S/C setup.

How does everyone without a showcar who live all over Australia get to summernats? Do they walk?

when someone says theyre getting there car ready with some mods for a car event, usually means theyre entering it.

And yes my comment was rather "straight to the point", and in hindsight i shouldve kept my mouth shut.

I'm one of those sheep who are a real sucker for VS-VT Internationals. I reckon they'd be winners, cheap alternatives to VE GTSs too :D

I'd say Dane's stato would "cut it" more at Summernats (or Easternats, or Hallamnats) than an n/a 4.0

PS I'm not a nasty moderator. Just a dirty one 8-)

There are heaps of go fast bits for these.

I like other than the tail lights, too big IMO.

Arent the VE GTS wheels ROH Mantis? Just get them from ROH in that case, IMO the taillight design on the Stato leaves a lot to be desired but apart from that they are pretty sweet. I have been tempted to get my missus one from a mate thats rolling on 18s, but cant afford it. Nice car Dane
