Me and my Spack.

Postby EAsyS-pack » February 4th, 2009, 9:28 pm

G'day.

I'm 18 and from the town of Murwillumbah, Northern NSW and I have just bought an EA S-pack off my mum. She wasn't using it as often as it should and it was just sitting in the garage, ageing quietly. The car litterally dwarfs her anyway. It's at least 7-8 times her size. I offered to buy it off her, and she said that $1000 would be fair.

So it is now mine :D. Here it is. In all its stock-as glory.

I'll get more pictures later. This was all I had time for, was rushed.

As I mentioned, it's stock as. My mechanical expertise is a little limited, so I've come here for advice :D

Anyone got any ideas on a starting point? (I cannot lower it at all, the area around here does not permit it clearance-height wise. It already slides down the exit of a couple of the carparks on it's belly. I avoid those carparks.)

Thanks.

Yeah. It's a 3.9 Mpi. Kinda got the stereo on the way. New head unit and a pair of 12' bass kickers in back. Gonna pick up some 6x9's soonish.

I need an actual camera. My phone is crap...

Also wanted to mention that if anyone in the Tweed regional area is looking for an EB GLi, my neigbour is selling one in great nick.

A 3-speed auto, sadly. I kinda don't mind though, driving in traffic in manual shits me up the wall lol.

Good start, I'd convert it to manual for a start... but its up to you ;)

If you are getting sub's, there is probably no need to go with a set of 6 x 9's
Just get some speakers that fit without stuffing around making spacer brackets or cutting up parcel shelves.

And as rab said, stay away from sony xpold...

Around 200,000 odd and still going strong. She's had it for about 8 years now.

You callin' my mum fat? Lol. Physical size, not weight :D.

The previous owner installed 6x9's on the rear shelf, all the cutting etc. is already done. The Kenwood's in the shelf are blown though.

Not really. I haven't had the time as of yet, I'm moving at the end of this month.

I just got in there and gave it a damn good clean, inside and out. Never realised that the interior was actually in such good condition... I'm gonna give it a service, de-rust and paint next week, then the fun begins!

Oh, and got a pair of clear indicators on the way. They may take a little while, coming up with my friend from melbourne, but I got em free :D.

Welcome aboard, as Todd mentioned we had a cruise down your way a few months ago. It was a wicked drive, some excellent roads on the way down there. On the topic of kilometers my EA is barely run in with 170,000 ks and the engine was rebuilt at 90,000 ks according to the log book. These cars go forever if you look after them well.

Thank ya'll for the welcome :D.

It seems that I am finally going to get some funding towards the car, a savings account is going to be opened either this or next week and I'll have around 1,000 to play with. And if Mr.Rudd gets his notion passed, that's another $950, and I'll still have more left over :D.

You drove the Burringbar range while you were down this way? That is my favourite road of all time :D. Should organise another cruise down here.............. *Hint hint*...
