Good to see my springs are still working well!

PS pump leaking onto alternator is A Bad Thing. I killed two alternators in my EA because of that.

Anyway, changing all accessories is not such a bad thing. Serpentine belt > three belts.

Yep. The springs are good. The car looks and handles a lot better than it used to.

Yeah, the serpentine conversion is actually one thing I want bad. I've had a number of belt and pulley related issues in the last year and a half. I'd prefer to have one big belt than 3 skinny ones. There doesn't seem to be much wobble in the harmonic balancer, so that shouldn't be the cause. Hopefully the alternator holds on till the engine swap.

Nope. EA=no smartlock

I'm just going to keep it going as is for the time being. As I said, I'm not in any form of hurry with it.

I hate public transport

I mean I got the EA to drive. It's still going, just leaking a fair bit. It's convenient in that I just jump in the car and go. I also don't have the time to work on the car at the moment. So while it might take 2 days to do an engine swap if I could work on it constantly, I just can't do that at the moment. In fact, with the amount of spare time I have at the moment, the car would probably be off the road for a while. It's not going to happen yet, simple as that.

An update!!!! As of today, the EA now has thermos! Thanks to Josh (efgiar) for wiring them up for me, despite my car constantly attempting to kill him. My first impressions are that it's so much better than the clutch fan! I should have done this mod a long time ago. Instead of using the Davies Craig switch, we used a Tridon switch, and also have an override switch on the dash (a wagon tailgate lock/unlock switch :P) so that I can have them on constantly.

As for the engine, I've had a change of heart. I've decided I'll just run it into the ground. The power steering pump has now been recoed, I've replaced an engine mount, and also had the heater hoses replaced because they were leaking badly). It's still running (not too badly actually) so I'll just stick with it.

Ah well, I never looked too closely at his but my paint's pretty crap these days. It got keyed late last year, the bodykit is pressure pack (except for the front bumper), I've got a small patch of rust forming in the left rear guard, and the paint on the top of one of the front guards has gone all blistery. :( I'm over worrying about it though. It's just a shitbox.

lol. With the cost of fuel, and the amount of kms I do, it wouldn't be wise.

Long over due updates. Since then I've fitted EB c-pillar trims, NL chrome window trims, replaced the bonnet and front right guard (which had paint flaking off, it now has a colour mismatch :P), an EF fuel flap, a DVD player, changed the front speakers, hooked up an amp, an NL interior light, and blackouts in the headlights.

Here's a few photos from AFD

Today thanks to the help of BBQburner, lowxr, MarkTD, gthofan, Josh L, Brendan S, and Kyle we swapped the clutch on the EA. It had gotten VERY heavy, but recently it started slipping too. We fitted an RPM heavy duty clutch with new pressure plate and thrust bearing. The old thrust bearing was absolutely stuffed and it had destroyed the pressure plate. The clutch plate was down to nothing as well. We also fitted a later model starter motor while we were at it so it doesn't sound like an XF anymore. Thanks to all who helped. I'm very happy with it.
