I think people seem to forget that most cars sunny has had over the years havnt exactly been sold at a loss.
things have been fairly static on the car front for months, with smart/cheap purchases tiring him over.

not to mention a few ways to earn some cash on the side (wrecks/parts)

add to it a full time job while living at home .. if you're dissiplined enough to not waste the cash (LPG FTW) then savings not that hard.

I'm keen to know what Business you're lookin to start up :P

Even better that you actually saved for it, Sunny! At least you can proudly say that it is YOUR car, and it's all payed for. It doesn't belong to the bank. No interest to worry about. Great job. It looks great in the photos btw.

As in the company you work for or your own private enterprise? Im sure the people you work for have debt in the way of HP/Leasing vehicles, office space etc. Being a accountant you would also know the money profit you have compared to loss/expense the more tax you pay at the end of the FY thus being a small business having some debt and spending alot through the business when you can saves you at the end of the year.

Edit: you got in before me. :/

There are some situations where leasing or renting something is better than buying it outright but I cant think of any reason why a company would want to owe money just for the sake of having debt.

Unless he is talking about companies who operate using share capital?

We often have requests for tender where companies apply to get a certain part of our business. If they are too negatively geared or dont have more assets than debt then we dont consider using them. The risk is too high.

Yeah I don't mean like go get a 50g loan if you have the 50g there. Im referring to instead of buying things outright lease etc.

So like in future circumstances, if sundeep was to have a business and required to have a new car, and had 50g there, hes better of leasing/HPing it than using the 50g.

That's my understanding.

I wouldn't suggest running on bank overdrafts or in the red unless it was necessary for what ever reason.

identical post time ftl!

Its the company I work for. Its not a small one.

Agreed on the leasing thing but say having a bank loan to cover operational costs (which is what I thought we were talking about) is bad.

We are actually starting to think that leasing is less beneficial than buying all our IT stuff and depreciating it instead. Its all getting reviewed soon.

Lol. No to Hijack sunnys thread anymore because his car is pretty good buy.

But as for leasing IT stuff it seems to be the way to go, a lot of large companies are doing it, and alot are doing it and outsourcing there whole IT department to service providers, I believe moonman might be one to get in contact with about that stuff, because he was in that line of work ? Up in Albury every single piece of IT equipment was leased and it seemed to work better for them, after 3 years if the computer needed replacing, lease a new one, or just keep using it till it died.

We have leased for the last 2 years and our costs are $1m+ more than the years previous where we bought everything and depreciated it. We are pretty sure we dont have $1m+ more crap around the offices but we might be wrong. We are just accountants, not IT staff.

It was only bought to my attention last week, We need to look further into it still. Im not someone who can negotiate a new leasing contract though, we have a whole department for that.

Well if people wanna meet up we can have a little do I guess. Like BLKPHN, Kenaz, LowXR, Cranners, Tiga EL, Parfrey, Sterling (I guess.. lol) etc. if you guys are keen we should do something.

Friday evening about 8PM @ Eastwood Plaza Carpark, 98-102 Canterbury Rd. Kilsyth. It's where the derelict Fueline is near Liverpool Rd. on the inbound side.

You'll find the cash for a tune, then you'll score an intercooler cheaply, some injectors too and i imagine a fuel pump..

Sunny took me for a spin last night. Loved it. Nice and comfy and goes good with no loud noises or rattles to wreck it.

I'd flash tune it and leave it at that. Dont touch the exhaust and intake or make it sound any different to what it is. Im surprised a standard car can move that well.

Obviously I havent been in many new fast cars and Im used to the maverick but it was good.

I'd get one too if I didnt have the mav.

Yep I'm thinking tune + CAI + injectors (if required) to bump up the power to a nice safe level, and leave it at that. I don't want to molest all my standard factory torqued intercooler and exhaust bolts and all that shiz. It'll keep it all nice to drive, and I won't have to worry about clutches and shit too. I should also get some better economy out of it.

I'm calling Ford to get the owner details updated and see if the brake hose campaign has been performed. I've got a guy I used to work with gettin me the warranty history too.

:D I <3 it good.

Looks sweet Sunny. Nice colour and very clean example I must say. The power they pull stock is impressive too. I was very surprised with what mine got stock. I might drop in at the meet tomorrow night to have a look if I am allowed or in the area

congrats sunny good to see you joined the bandwagon...
id say if you want to go for the understated not too modified look.... go for

despoiler...
ultras all round....
some factory 18s/19s or something if u can score them cheap ish (the 18" bfmk2 xr options are a nice wheel)
crystal vision headlight globes for all 3 sets (muuuuch nicer light)
get some interior dress up shiz..... chrome handles lock button, sport pedals if it doesnt have it, light up window switches etc...
just jack the car up and see if there is 3 tags on your rear brake hoses..... if 3 tags they are the current hoses.

if you find anything wrong with it you can still probably score warranty items at some ford dealers cos its a bfmk2 even tho its done more than 100,000km they can sometimes score diff bushes etc via prior approval from ford (or sometimes ford pay half etc etc)

power mods i suggest going a tune, bpr airbox (or jus modding so a pod will fit in your air box and get a f6 lower snorkel)

and for epic dose incase you get bored one weekend ......

remove the bov completely and block its reference line and the vent it connects to on the tb side of xover pipe, and disconnect the plastic pipe that runs from turbo to xover pipe and replace with a 90* bent alloy pipe with a pod on it shaped like \ / (so it clears the power steering pump better) not a / \ shaped pod like most people run (bottom of the pod drawings is the 3" clamp side)

even the stock 5psi gives out the same style dose as dylans at 10psi..... we did it on marktd's one and were shocked hahaha
