JMM Red EB 10.0

Postby Gunns » September 18th, 2007, 2:33 pm

JMM Red EB ran 10.0 136mph against the Mike's Dyno EA that went 10.4 at Heathcote at the weekend.

The tune was at 380rwkw
Should see 9's out of this car very soon.

Holy fap!

What's the EB had done to it?!? Wasn't it a 13.3 N/A, 11.x NOS setup previously?

This car now has the 450rwkw engine out of the white EF, with a transbraked C10 by Big Luke.

No NOS

Everyone was complaining of a slow track on Sunday.

Wonder why he threw the EF motor into the EB? Weight savings? (EB body vs EF body?)

So it took to the track with a softer tune, and can make 450rwkw with no gas. Daaaamn!

When Mock ran N20, they never claimed N/A.
Only trick_xd has done that.

Runs a flat 10 on 28 spline axles! Fark!

Must have some tallish gearing like the Mike's Dyno EA. Any shorter than 3.0:1 and it'd be crossing the line at over 6000rpm I'm guessing?

Alloy cage and 10sec? Heathcote doesnt subscribe to ANDRA time/cage rules hey? 10sec and alloy cage dont add up. 10.99 or less = 4point steel/molly cage. 9.99or less = 6point

BLOODY impressive car!!!!

I don't think Heathcote is Andra sanctioned. I remember the Yellow VL that lifted a wheel for about 60 ft at one of the AFF drag days. It ran some crazy MPH and a 10 something from memory, they wouldn't let him make another pass because he didn't have a cage.

That car was nuts, in excess of 160mph IIRC. From what I've been told, he did end up putting a cage in it, and it nabbed the quickest (untubbed????) VLT title for a while with a mid 8-sec pass, ahead of all the usual major players even though he built the thing himself.

I was there on the weekend and he was not backing off at the end of the track. He was giving it his all every time. From talking to him he was still not used to the way the car was yet . He was very consistantly in the 10.1 and 10.0 all night during the dyo . I think with a bit of play the car will make it into the 9 with easy.

The mikes dyno was run a 9.99 on its 2nd run down the track .
But i didnt see it do it again all day and night.

I believe street fords said that pics from the event will be in a dvd that will come out in next few months if you guys can hang out for it .
Also you guys may see one of the nicest mono's by a car that i have ever seen . A COrtina that did a 9 second pass with almost 30 foot of the run on back wheels

Mine :) I wish.

What boxes to JETXR and Pyroay have in their cars? Both making bulk hp but not set up for strip, so maybe not that fast. Relatively speaking of course!

380rwkw is around 500rwhp...which is what I'm aiming for. That should be a pretty scary ride down the quarter with full street suspension and street tyres haha.

TUFED6 ftmfw though. Man I wish I could come down and have a look at your car. Are you still having problems with making lots of boost but no power? Check your cam timing and ignition timing, maybe some leprechauns got in your motor and messed with it - the night before I got my car tuned I was driving it trying to get it to run properly, and it was slow as fcuck. Making plenty of boost (+20psi at one stage ) but no power because the timing was retarded.

I think you said you hadn't touched it but....if it's not lean or rich and you have lots of manifold pressure, that's pretty much the only thing left...
Image

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

I changed the setup a bit and went backwards, so I'm going back to what I know works. Hopefully that will sort it out. I'm trying to avoid tearing the engine apart to inspect it because I'm a lazy kent.
