You won lotto, and had to spend it on an E Series. How would

Postby Nikk O'lass » March 22nd, 2009, 7:29 pm

Basicly i has too much time and thought to hard, an need to vent this idea.

My idea would be a American Style Pro touring first gen E-Series.

Grab any old EA-D, doesn't matter what really, a shell is all thats needed. Then go find a suitable Fg Xr6t. Using the Fg because of the front mount steering rack and lighter compoentry.

Rip the engine out of the Xr6t, send it to nispro and tell them to send it back with 700kw. While thats happening, remove the E-Series floor plan and cut and shut the Fg floor under the boxcar body (modify the engine mounts etc to move the engine back around 100mm). Seem weld every thing, and add a 6point roll cage. Fix up the body, add a genuine V8 supercar kit (but with a T wing), and build a alloy/carbonfiber full length undertray. Will also need to be tubbed both ends.

Beef up the suspention with coilovers and all the usual stuff, aswell as some 8 pot brake on the front, 6 on the rear. Mosnter size (Rims will be 19-20in) Shove a V8 supercar 6speed sequential box in the car and rebuild the diff with a 2 way LSD. Hopefully the engine will be back, and I would have requested a custom twin TB intergrated water-air intercooler manifold, with a dry ice box in the boot to cool the water down.

For the interior keep the origial dash and door trims, but get the lot recovered in blood red leather an suede (Paint the plastics in glossy black) A motec dash will find its way in there, as will 4 recaro buckets, red of course, with 5 point harnesses on all 4.

Then there will be things like a race style fuel cell. Custom headlights, using BMW components (angel eyes projectors etc) behind a custom lense (so the projectors work properly). The rear lights will be circluar l.e.d's set in a EA unit. Between the lights will be a carbon boot panel.

The body will have amounts of carbonfiber in it, but will be mostly cleaned up standared, with pumped gaurds. Paint will be matte gunmetal gray. For the wheels 20 x 10 front 20 X 12 (or somthing like that) BBS stlye multi spokes, in raw unfineshed alloy.

I think thats all, oh yeah Clear indicators and Au repeaters. and a EB gt gear boot :D

Remember, you'll have millions.

does it have to be a single e series?

i would buy every single eb gt ever made and put them all in a big shed
70mm t/b and maf, extractors and exhaust, 2500 stall, stage 2 shift kit, ultra lows, pioneer/clarion stereo.

soon to be 347...

my idea is pretty stupid...

i would spend as much coin as possible on a full house re-engineered n/a build using the Ford I6.... i mean making every single part of the motor, exhaust, intake, fuel, spark etc. extensively researched and developed to be as efficient as it possibly could be.

And all testing done on a dyno built in my backyard, and pay some smart engineer fucker to do all the testing & research.

maybe 230rwkw+, run low 13's/high 12's

ok....something i always thought would be cool would be to get an EB V8 supercar. (modify the cage so you can actually get in it easily), fit full EB Ghia interior, fully retrimmed in new soft leather and paint it cobalt blue....make for a wicked car haha

I'd have an EF / EL ghia re-sprayed in black... a BA/BF/FG boss engine, get one of them 6 liter blocks super charged making enough power to do a 10 second 1/4 mile... probably the 6 speed auto... air bags... and zenatti kaotics, 20", 10" wide rears (or custom made ones with a deeper dish, 12" rears??)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOQEIuY5uY8 < 6 liter boss engine here is what I'd have

and maybe them wheels, they looks pretty sweet too.

EDIT: another video

I think as long as those 'activities' took place in an E series, then it would qualify under the rules.

If I hhhaaaaadddd to spend it on an E series, I'd get an EF and shoehorn a US GT(40) 5.4SC in there somehow, and fit 12" semi slicks to the rear to stop me doing loops on the highway.

So much hate for e-series :(

I'd get an ED scratch built from carbon fibre, twincharged rebuilt FG F6 motor, 6/manual, 8 pot brakes, 9 inch, cage, scratch built suspension (front and rear), 18x14 drifteks all round etc etc etc. Built specifically to race in targa tassie/motorkhana/rallys and such.

Second one same as above but built to go in a straight line only, 6 speed auto, 1.21 giggawatts of power, something down near the flat 9s would be sweet for the street.

Third one in carbon as a daily, 6/auto+stock FG F6 engine, full fairmont interior, lots of sound deadening, really nice ICE, shiny 18s, something to drive gently but due to weighing sfa would still be quite quick.

Fourth one to drift - as per top one but with about 60* of steering lock and 2.5 turns from one side of the rack to the other :P

And buy all the EB V8 supercars I can find and restore them to exactly how they were back in the 90s.....and drive the bastards on the street!
Image

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

A 9 second STREET LEGAL EL XR6, painted focus orange with some seriously dished FR19's, and custom leather interior oh and a roll cage too :D

Then i'd buy millions of eseries to sell straight away to launder my "eseries only" money to buy a G6ET and a fkn mint house with the best garage you've ever seen in your life.

EDIT:

Thought of a few more things...

-Driveline that will handle how i'll drive it
-A brake system that will feel better than eseries brakes even if they fail (which isn't too hard i guess :P)

EL XR8.

Fancy block, forged internals and good heads.
Whipple
6 speed
KAAZ diff
Retrimmed leather interior
fancy stereo
Standard bodykit
Slammed
FR19's

I'd pay some other kunt to work on it and just drive it. Finding a good mechanic could take years and 11ty million dollars worth of fcking around.

A lotto draw where you HAD to spend your money on an E-Series? Worst. Lotto. Ever :P

I saw Love the beast on the weekend and now will never sell my EA  So, I'd give it it's 2nd rebuild if I won the lotto. I'd paint it some other fancy fck off colour. Maybe like Ned's Silvia style, with full tan leather interior possibly with black carpet and roof / pillars etc. etc. Then I'd do whatever Gill reckons to the driveline. He'd want it to run 10's so the lotto should cover that. It'd have EA headlights with clear indicators and a EA badge up front. Full mint condition EA Ghia rear light set with clear over the top.

Then I'd put some kind of full face chrome dragway wheels on it with skinny's up front and fat's at the back with M/T written on the sides of them.

Then I'd prob cruise on Friday nights down Chapel and sht. I saw some sick BT1 that ran 10's on Chapel a few months ago with the skinny's / fats thing going and all that. It was fckn sickooooo. I think it was XCHASR. Not sure.

Fark. Now I actually wanna do it :( It'd look mad.

I'd probably build 2 track cars for starters :P

AWD Driveline
IRS Rear End
Big Brakes
Semi Slicks
700hp N/A V8
Cage
Light Weight Interior
Custom Styled Bodykit (that actually did something)

2nd would be a Drift car (not that i can drift) but if i was rich i'd learn
TT V10
T56
9" Spool
FR18's
Black
No Kit

Re: You won lotto, and had to spend it on an E Series. How would

I'd buy a white EA GL, drive it into a wall a few times, attack it with a sledge, buy an elephant, teach it to "sit" on the EA, & then get some Bhangra Knights cranking thru the tapedeck while cruising around in my AU.

ED Ghia
T56
Kaaz
Lowness + coilovers
4.0 + positive displacement blower w/ water inj.
Nice silver paint
Fat rubber on 17s

Sick.

x 4 of them, 1 for absolute thrashing rallying + off road shenanigans etc, 1 with 6sp ZF for cruising, 1 for race days/hill climbs etc and 1 to sit in the garage for posterity until E-series are rare & special. Year 2140?

i would convert my eb to a full drag car, have high flow aftermarket twin cam head built from scratch, get a cms 4.8 conversion, and then buy a ferrari to tow the ford to the track.
project so far - bbm + jmm 3inch intake piping, stage3 crow s/c cam, electric thermo fans, 2.5 cat back, magnaflow high flow metal cat, lukey tri y headers, crane cams hi-6 ignition + lx91, 2bar and trc, zex nitrous, j3 ecu adapter, rising rate fpr, 10psi rated s/c, surge tank, tailshaft loop, slightly modified btr(till it breaks), O2 tuning system.

Lol I so knew that would happen, bad idea John! You will have your hands full for awhile though :)

If I won lotto it would go towards paying my house off quicker or getting an AU Fairlane on 20s

If I had spare money I would possibly respray the EB and upgrade the turbo gear :)
