STOLEN ef fairmont

Postby lukeh » April 4th, 2009, 5:35 pm

Just letting you guys know that some pricks decided to pinch my car last night, parked it at 11:30pm just down the street from Bridie O'reillys in brunswick and heard it drive past at around 12 from the beer garden...sure enough the parking space was empty!
If anyone see's it or hears of someone offloading a soundsystem, AU xr 17's, NF ghia interior, extractors please let me know so we can catch these dogs
Not holding much hope for it being found in one peice, hoping it was just joyriders but id reckon it would be somewhere getting stripped right about now :banghead:

Fuct. Hope they get caught. At least you'll get something if you don't get it back, instead of nothing.

thanks guys, apparently theres been a fair few modified ef/el's going missing out west lately and none have been found...my guess is a group are targetting these cars, taking them, stripping them and cutting them up...not holding much hope of finding it and not sure i even want to if its trashed, dont wanna see it all fucked up
i was hoping they would wrap themselves around a pole in it and write themselves off as karma on their way home, but looks like that hasnt happened cos the car wouldve been found already...if anyone sees or hears of any of my parts being sold off please let me know!!
i keep looking out the front at my empty parking space and its doin my head in...even picked up my keys before and walked out there to go down the shops only to remember its gone.....farkin heartbroken

that's fucking shit, i was in shock when I received an SMS from ya hearing that the car got pinched, fucking dog act to a whole new level. Hopefully everything works out in the way of insurance, lets just hope it turns up in one piece.

Karma will get these dog's, just a matter of when.

Thanks heaps for your concern guys!
My car was found tonight about 2 blocks from where it was stolen, reversed into a tree, missing 2 subs, a monoblock amp, a digital camera, woodgrain shifter surround, chrome shifter button and a woodgrain dash spear...oh and half a tank of petrol
Looks like somebodys taken it for a joy ride, run low on fuel and taken it back to the area they stole it from parked it and then grabbed a few things they wanted and taken off! Couldnt be happier to get the car back even with a few missing things, atleast its back and i dont have the hassle of dealing with insurance etc. ive probably lost about $700 worth of stuff which isnt bad considering, and they left me all my speakers and 2 of my amps...seemed to only be interested in bass haha
Once again, thanks alot for your concern and il definately be installing some sort of security system in this car so it doesnt happen again!

Hey lukeh good to hear you got the car back.

Get an immobiliser fitted that switches off the ignition. Call this guy, he installed one for me. 0411 202 505 his name is Paul and he comes out to you if you can't take the car to him. Would cost ya about $100 but it's better than not having a car again!!

thanks heaps guys, im really happy to have it back!
Spent most of today re-doing my system, replaced the amps and built a new sub box for a 15" i had lying around and shes good to go...bit of a headfuck because when they ripped the amps out they demolished all my wiring in the process but all sorted now.
sunny does have a point, i was thinking the exact same thing when i first jumped in the car, and the other thing is the car was locked which can be done with any ef/el key....so chances are it was someone keen on some of my parts for their own car. oh and they took my pod filter?!????!!!??
Thanks for that timmy, was thinking of wiring up my own killswitch but for around $100 i reckon il be giving that bloke a call! and thanks for the offer brocky but i replaced the gear that was pinched today before i read this

good to hear you got it back, and they didn't trash the car, cause that usually kents do when they've had enough of it, did you get forensics to finger print the car? and the shit that was stolen, was there anything in particular that stood out? big scratch on the woodgrain trim, etc etc?

ABS = spongy brakes, but you'll slow to about 60

non-ABS = lock up at 100 & skid past the roo doing about 95. But you'll look sick doing it

hybrid. nah the car wasnt fingerprinted or anything...cops didnt seem too interested to be honest, just rang up and said "your car is on this street, go pick it up" and didnt want a bar of it after that. The woodgrain was all in pretty mint condition so nothing to make any of it stand out...no biggy il replace those bits in time, just happy to have my car back
