More aftermarket wheel support X-E series Falcon

Postby mickyyyy » May 9th, 2009, 1:33 pm

Hi All,

It sucks that when having a wheel ofset of +6 that u have very small range of wheels to choose from and there not that great compared to others out there. So i want to do a poll and find out what rims people want for there X-E series Falcon and send Tempe Tyres and see if they can can arrange something with wheel manufacturers as i know they do custom wheels but not for every wheel they range.

So plz post a link from there website of which rims you would like and in what size and also vote.

I'm fine with drifteks thanks, though if they could make them in 17x11 that would be sick :)

the fact there are no "mesh" style rims at all to fit E-series pisses me off.... but i doubt anyone is gonna doing anything about it haha

so i ended up with with these 18x8" in +10mm offset, they fit no issues at all 8-)

You never know if they will as ive heared from a very good source there buying out a very well known rim manufactoring company so if there is interest in a niche market where no one else does rims then there is plenty of money to be made.

Plain and simple X-E series offset rims are a niche market and more X series are coming up with modern bling wheels and ive meet a few E series owners that dont have much choice becuz of this issue.

on the slim chance this actually happened, the rims would most likely be prohibitively expensive...

im in no position to say whos buying who out sorry

and hub adaptors are plain illegal and can be dangerous, i experienced vibrations when decelatrating with my 35mm hub adaptors unless doing it slowly and im not prepared to run the risk of vioding my insurance policy over having hub adaptors.

on the other hand ive had my hub adaptors on for over 2 years now and have not had a single issue....did you just do the nuts up or torque them to 80nm as you're supposed to?

vibrations only occur if they're loose

I believe he's saying that Tempe is going to be the ones to buy out the rights to manufacture Simmons.
Unless someone else is going under, I've only heard the Simmons rumour.

If anyone wants wheels The tyre experts in melbbourne can get a few things for us. Spoke to Paul and he told me that there going to receive a new shipment next week and some of them will fit X-E series falcon

He can do the rims on the XY on E series offset but at $3500.00 as it needs to be machined

There is not $1000 worth of machining to put them on an E series. seems a bit outlandish. The wheels on the XY look great and i would love to change my rears to 10' wide..

Well thats what his engineer is charging him to machine them so it dosent matter what we think its worth unfortunatly, im happy to pay $3500.00 for a wheel package like that becuz something equvilent to be made up is just $4000.00 just rims plus tyres so looking about $5200.00 for rims but there better quality as there billet.
