Postby twit » May 19th, 2009, 8:58 pm

hi im after what companies people are using for there modified e series i have lowered, rims, exhaust, cam, etc etc etc and i am preferrably after full comprehensive rather than resorting to just 3rd party insurance i looked at racv and looks like they cover mods but i might be missing some fine print wat does everyone recomend im with aami and they only cover 2 mods which is fckin useless so wat does everyone else use????

im with racv for the eb....
they said mods are ok aslong i dont touch the chassis. and it would pass a rwc.
only reason why im with them is cgu wouldnt touch me after the manual conversion lol

the xf is still with cgu... mainly cos i cbf'd changing it over.. will prolly do it at the renewal time..

Basically stock. Might fit a ls1 and manual eventually.

both of mine are only 3rd party fire and theft.....at the time i got both policys i was broke. and something is better than nothing

but the eb is 200 a year
the xf is 180 a year

but i have a clean driving record and im over 25 so my exess is only 500...

A lot of companies say they will cover mods on your car but if you have an accident they will void your insurance for illegal mods. This happened to a mate that was with Just Car.

Shannons is good but you will struggle to get insurance with them at your age.

When I was younger I was with a company that was called Young And Cool at the time but I think its something different now. Look them up. They were really cheap and covered all mods to the car.

Im with RACV and have full comp which cost me $1,100 a year unlimited mods (as long as they are legal).
And yes I have told them all of the mods, no point in risking not telling them
