Great Find

Postby EFFalcon » September 10th, 2007, 9:08 am

Many of you will know i picked up an NL Fairlane Concorde wreck from auctions as a donor car for my EA wagon.
full dash, wiring loom, 5.0 litre, auto etc all going into the wagon.
the car was relatively stock so i expected no real suprises.

swapped the wheels over yesterday to get some tyres pulled off only to spot some yellow struts on it.. thinkin that was a little odd, i cleaned the dirt off the side and noticed quite happily "KONI"
so i whipped the rear wheels off and checked the back ones, again, KONI.

so.. i'm the proud owner of a set of KONI Yellows.. which will go into the EF.
the rear of the EF got some work yesterday, i put superlows and the koni's in.
just need to find time to do the front.

I'm sure this will make my trips to winton etc much more fun! :D

Nice find Wilson. did you get the little white knob to adjust them? im sure you could get em cheap from a Koni dealer or just use a pair of pliers... mmm mega hard rear suspension :P

I still reckon you should sell the rears to me 8-) I think I am going to settle on new Koni reds for the rear instead.

Don't you love awesome finds? I found a basically brand new set of Pedders shocks, springs, and misc bushes in a wreck. I pulled them out and sold them. Profit on that :P

Hahaha good work Wilson thats the one crap thing about selling my car spent so much on suspension and couldnt keep it but oh well.. hahaha yea stiffen up that rear end and go drifting hahaha, i might get some again but i doubt it its pretty expensive and the stock suspension on mine aint bad...
when you go to winton i might come with you this time!

Koni yellows are cool.
The knobs are useless anyway, you set them once and then the knobs just rattle around your glovebox for the rest of the time

I didn't find Koni's under mine, but I did find Pedders Sports Ryder front shocks and Pedders Comfort Gas in the rear. I was pretty happy about that and the car is now slammed.
