starter motors

can any 1 help me, i would like to know if a clapper starter and a windsor 5l 1s are the same????

lol i could imagine the looks on peoples faces when ur sitting there clapping like crazy at the car cos it wont start

clapper and windsor starter are totally different

a clapper starter is a starter motor on mainly clevland v8's that have an externaly mounted solenoid not attached to the starter as most are, mostly found in xw - xy and f series totally different than what is found in a 5ltr windsor infact i think in a 5ltr windsor there even located on the opposite side of the bell housing?
why do you ask?

work hack: ef falcon, fairmont seats, superlows, 2.5"exhaust fmic walbro pump vortech fmu t04 turbo
