Hmm i hate meguires stuff i think its pathetic... and over priced for what it does. (The best carnauba wax you can get by meguires is NXT and it contains %8 white carnauba wax)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAa-BC2Qhp4

Zymol autobath shampoo...PH nutral (Ingredients: Coconut Bark Soap, Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocomide (derived from coconut oil), Coco Butter and FD&C Blue #1.)

Zymol or Bowdens own detailer... (Ingredients: Contains Carnauba Sap 10.5%, Triple Purified Spring Water, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil), Propolis (derived from Bees) Glycerol Stearate and Banana Oil.)

Zymol Leather treat (Ingredients: Contains spun castile soaps, Glycerin, Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil), Citric Delimonine, lemon extract, Pure Apricot Kernel extract.)

Zymol concourse (Ingredients: Contains White and Yellow Carnauba Wax, 47% by volume (90%White, 10% Yellow), Montan Oil, Coconut Oil, Banana Oil, Cinnamon Oil, Propolis (derived from Bees), Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil) and FD&C Yellow #5.

rofl! Bloody Dave! It took forever to get that off!

When I'm back at Maffra, Dad has this dairy grade detergent that is bloody awesome on cars. Not abrasive at all, it's even good at removing bugs, and every time I've washed the car there. it's turned out mint.

No doubt it washes off your wax and a layer of paint..... no wonder it looks like it does a good job... :D

The top of the line Zymol is about $10,000 per container.

I think Tristan told me once there's a place in Bayswater that sells it, starting from about $150?

Not quite. My parents always used it on their EBII which they bought new and traded last year. The paint still looked great on that car after 15 years of using this detergent on it. Didn't hurt my paint one bit either. I haven't actually washed my car at Maffra for a couple of years because I can't be stuffed. The paint damage on my car has only really started within the last year or so and unfortunately it needs a respray.

When I got my BF I used Meguiars Clay bar, then T47 cutters by hand then Meguiars Carnauba Wax. It came out better than mint.

I got the BA done professionally though. Almost $300 for 9 hours of detailing... it was worth it

Yeah sounds about right. Old mate in my complex pays another $200 for the interior and bay for his imports. Look A+++

I use mostly Meguires stuff (wash, clay, wax, glass cleaner, wheel cleaner, tyre shine) but wanna try something better. Use Autoglym Super Resin Polish before waxing and Armour All disposable wipes for the interior.

http://waxit.com.au/ is a good site for buying decent imported waxes and hand pads etc.

I use Einszett polish and synthetic wax on mine, lasts months, can't recommend it enough. And whatever car wash i have lying about.

On the topic of polish and protecting your car, does any of this stuff protect from tar??
I asked dad, he doesn't really know... but his cars don't seem to get tar spots all over them for some reason... :glare:

+1 for the 'natural' car wash! If I am feeling rich and energetic, its whatever is in the hose at my local Clean Bay, and a quick run up the freeway for that 'blow dry' finish. I used to use that pink Meguries stuff, but the govenrnment put a stop to that method.
