hey guys, not sure if anyone here has used them but i'm not all that impressed with their customer service.

currently trying to get my car running perfect and all the teething issues sorted before we modify anything any further, and it seems if you only want small things done like tunes ec.. they are not all that happy to help out and more worried about their $100k cars in the workshop.

took the car in this morning to get the computer remapped again at 10am , they said it would take about 2hours didnt get it back till 4pm, they didnt call or anything i had to call them to find out if it was done.

the guys this morning came across a bit aragent and wern't even willing to write down the problems i wanted sorted out and seemed like they had no idea what they were doing.

anyway $360 later and all it seems i got back was a sheet of paper with the dyno run and a couple error codes the computer shot out.

car is a tad more responsive(like 5% above what it was) but really were not all that helpful considering the money i payed.
i've been mucked around by 3 workshops now either doing shonky jobs or not doing what they tell me at all, finding it hard to find a repuatable shop.

i'm thinking i may go back to adicted performance in hallam who have done my other cars(they are a bit far from where i work though), does anyone else recomend a workshop around bayswater/ferntree gully that have a dyno? as i need to be able to drop the car of in the morning and shoot back to work then go grab it in the arvo cos i work 6 days sometimes 7 days a week.

i've heard of blue oval, and CVE where abouts are they based? and are they any good?

CVE built my engine and has always been just a phone call away when ever it has had issues.

yer if im going to go to hallam ill probably take it to danko at adicted, hoping maybe someone can reccomend a good workshop in bayswater area

i live in endeavour hills next to hallam but i spend 10 hours a day at work so really need to have something close to work.

might give cve a go though, do they do alot of e series stuff there? really need someone who knows alot about them rather than first year apprentices who dont do it properly

i take alot of cars to Dynomotive and do alot of work with/for them. Yes, they are asses at times, but like most industries, you get what you pay for.

Im not defending them, if anything im on your side. But like you said, there are guys bringing in some serious cars and spending serious cash on them..money talks..and $360 is probably how much it costs for one of those guys to get outta bed some days.

Ive never been to CVE, but i will in the not too distant future. But as for dynomotive, go them, tell them what you want but dont put a price tag on it.

Might be an idea, but you could ditch the Unichip if its still got it in the car, and put a J3 chip in. CVE tunes them, seem to get good results on V8's.

$360 was just for a tune, i dont mind paying $600 for a tune if i have to and its done properly.

once all these problems are sorted ill be spending big money on this car, as i have with my other 3 so they have lost of alot of business from me now.

i've already spent close to 3k in 3weeks getting it running properly first and i dont want to mod anything untill the car is prefect.


i've just spoken to holmsy and i think i'll be using CVE to do the rest including the cam and braided lines ec..

When I have been to dynamotive for dyno days they have always seemed to be abit up emselves but thats just my view I have never actually really spoken a word to them lol. But you can tell when people are up themselves.

they were so aragent, they know my cars so they know i spend alot on cars, so i really dont understand their logic.

ohwell done and dusted ive pretty much decided to use CVE now, they seem to be highly reccomended by e series owners

Do whatever you can to avoid putting a Unichip in.
the J3 tune actually tunes the ECU in the car, the unichip tries to over ride it, and it very limited.

yer i only organised to have the unichip redone as it was already in it.

should of learnt with my last mistake, i had a unichip in the vt back 4-5 yers ago when i was 18 and had nono stop problems with that not turning on thermos and computer errors, but i thought they may have come good a bit.

this car has had the same problems since the motor was put in 3 years ago hence so many owners, and i think im the only owner who has actually gone to the bother of fixing them , the car is fantastic and has so much potential just needed a bit of money spent on it, being a holden owner all my life, im definately in lvoe with the car. dont know why lol

time to ditch it and get MR CVE involved lol

I got my EF tuned there and had no problems they were pretty good to deal with. But the new owner called them for a re-tune and he said they didn't wanna touch it lol....

mate had a car in at dynomotive for a unichip, wont go into the story but he got poor customer service too... he told me not to go there

yer not the best experience, would like to get a workshop who actually shows a bit of interest in fixing it and gets to know the car for any other future visits.

MAte no mater what workshop you go through there going to be stories of someone having bad experience.
But ive heard this from a few people that they dont care about the smaller things.

I thinking good idea to go cve . ive never had problems with my car and he is always willing to help .

Just like alot of people here I'd reccomend going with CVE. My car came up great after the J3 and tune and Paul explains what he's done afterwards and show's you the results before and after.
