lady friend needs a new car! Thinking integra/prelude...

Postby mooseman » July 8th, 2009, 12:03 am

Friend of mine needs a new car. She is upgrading from a 94 1.3L auto barina so anything is going to be a huge step up. She wants something with a little bit of power, keep in mind she thought my 15.3 sec EL was really fast & powerful...

Being a female she wants to look good driving it. She likes the looks of the mid 90s integras and preludes. Does anyone know the differences between the two? I mean obviously they are different models but they both seem to suit the same market to me so why would honda have them out similtaneously?

Any other recommendations for cars that look sports, have some sort of performance and are around 7.5k?

Prelude is a bit bigger than Integra. Prelude is based off accord where integra is based off civic. Both would suit what she wants

My GF has an Integra GSi, you have to rev them the get them to move. They are cheap to run and efficent, parts are pricey.

Go to http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/
It is a very asian based forum but they know Honda's.

Did you know the new mini's motors are just chrysler neon motors... BMW parts no wonder parts are pricey...
Strive for perfection in everything we do. Take the best that exists and make it better.
When it does not exist, design it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough.

yep i agree..... a mate had one as a rental, and it responded very well to 4000rpm clutch dumps

id say the opposite, preludes have more luxury and are bigger and heavier, still go very well, esp if you one that has the H22A in it. id say the poolude is the better cruiser/long distance car, where the integra is a bit more spartan interior wise and usually have less frills.

interestingly, there is bugger all difference weightwise between a civic and a integra, plus with the da models, you can bolt in civic suspension for a 2 inch drop...
