'MEGA CA$H HAS BEEN SPENT ON THIS VEHICLE IN EXCESS OF $50,000 WITH MANY RECEIPTS AND PICTURES TO SUPPORT'

--> hmmm didn't think pictures were worth that much these days

'This awesome piece of machinery makes 328 BHP on a SAFE TUNE on 13 pounds of boost (that’s on a safe tune as the vehicle was driven from Melbourne to Sydney when purchased, less than 3 months ago) on the Dalton Automotive Racing dyno with sheets to prove it.'

--> 328 BHP on 13 psi - surely a 2JZGTE would $hit all over that...and also be more legal *shrugs*

'The brain of the BEAST is a MICROTECH LT-12 and two BOSCH 044 fuel pumps'

--> LOL @ Microtech POS. LOL @ 2 X 044...surely one could not cope with the "awesome" powah !?

'The gearbox is a fully rebuilt 5 speed'

--> I guess if it was making decent numbers, it would break it - maybe this was intentional or only had a gear knob to suit a 5 speed perhaps ?

'The cockpit is decked out with Autometer gauges and a six point Chromalloy ANDREA RACING APPROVED ROLL CAGE.'

Hey, My aunt's name is Andrea - and she's a lovely lady !

All up, would have to say it is up there with one of the biggest supra fails of all time

i like it,

i have allways wanted to put a v8 in a supra, its over priced and underpowered

i just like the concept
70mm t/b and maf, extractors and exhaust, 2500 stall, stage 2 shift kit, ultra lows, pioneer/clarion stereo.

soon to be 347...

Why anyone would do an engine swap on a supra defies all common sense.

That car is fucking hideous.

all to their own ... , some people like spending money on a 20 year old falcon , others like putting v8's in supras. If everyone drove the exact same car with the exact same setup how would you personalize shit to make it "unique"

i dont mind it although i wouldent go to the trouble of changing engines , the supra engines are more than capable ;)

Horses for courses - no debating that...but given the Supra is a performance car...one could only presume putting the 4L quad cam V8 in it would be done on the premise to maintain performance or increase. Seeing the woeful power figures with the 'alleged' dollars spent, it really doesn't make sense...all for just the sound of a V8 and a BOV...while every other car is overtaking you

Nothing wrong with them - can be good value for money IMHO...depending on application.

Was looking at an MTX8 aaaaaaages ago, but was not as featured as the wolf V4 at the time. Drag car app would have been AOK, but I wanted something more suited for daily driving (was driving to and from South Melbourne everyday from eastern burbs) - needed good cold / hot start a/c request with good idle stepper, temp compensation when sitting in traffic etc.

Admittedly the MTX series are of yester-year...the LT12 is on par with most today from what I have seen around the traps.

Back O/T - pity one of the worlds most bulletproof V8 motors with a snail on the side is underachieving

Pretty sure there is a bloke on AFF who is building an EH from the ground up with one of these motors with twin turbos - aiming high that's how it should be done

I'm not arguing with engine conversions as a whole, just ones that don't make sense. IE- if someone had a V6 commodore, then I'd be right behind swapping it with pretty much any other engine :) But if you had an LS1 commo, or a 2J supra, I have no idea why you'd want to swap the engine, because the one in the car is already good and you would save approximately half a million dollars in time and stuffing about by leaving it there and just working the crap out of it.

That black thing and the V12 supra are exceptions though - that's a conversion done right.
