Yep Dan, its got highflowed and rebuilt factory CT12a's converted to steel wheels. They start to run out of their efficiency range about 18psi, so it depends on supporting mods for the end result but people have acheieved up to 280-285rwkw on these.

Theres a guy in NSW currently running 11.89 @ 114.9 MPH on the standard 15 year old ceramic turbos not even rebuilt/highflowed yet! His mods are: Dump pipe, 3" exhaust, Blitz Access ECU, 18psi, Hybrid Copy FMIC, Greddy Adj Exhaust Cam Gear, Mv's Stage 1 Shift Kit and Torsen LSD.

Stock injectors are good for abour 250-260rwkw but then its easy to pick up some 440cc supra injectors for my aim.

Not a lot of people know how quick these fat bastards can be with basic mods.

I always think of 1J's as being "not quite 2J's" haha. Still, you should make 350rwkw with a big single relatively easy (compared to most other motors) so enjoy :)

Must admit I do miss the XR6 as it was manual and mad fun to kick around, but the build quality of the soarer compared to the falcon is second to none.

Auto's go well in the soarer, they can handle a fair bit of power and are quick down the quarter, also i can now eat/drink while driving ;) . Would love a manual but the conversion costs are big $$$ for an R154 conversion, although its tempting as those boxes can take a lot of punishment. That and the fact autos are only $400-500 for a replacement if i bust mine.

Unfortuneatly I dont think this car will ever see a big single :( as its a daily driver i want to keep it as legal as possible. So no bling bling engine bay, high mount turbos, shiney BOV's etc. The 270rwkw power figure is easily acheivable with a totally stock looking engine bay including cooler pipes, factory heat shields and airbox :) I think i've gone against the trend bling on the outside and sleeper under the hood!

If i decided i wanted more power i'd get HKS T3G's which are a complete bolt on aftermarket kit that fit under the factory turbo heat shield and look totally stock but will easily flow at or over 300rwkw.

The fact that these cars retailed for approx $100,000 when new, reflects the value you get, looked at buying one of these a while ago.
Good luck with it, it will be a beast at a budget!

Soarers kick ass, nuff said. Not sure if I'm a fan of those rims, but at least they don't look stupid.

Your XR6 looked pretty good too - nice taste!

Thanks guys, Nommic the rims were already on the car when i bought them initially i wasn't a fan either but after seeing them in real life they have grown on me.

Nothing much will happen till uni exams have finished around mid November then i'll be doing the rest of the exhaust, installing adjustable cam gear and get Cihan from - http://www.etuner.com.au - to install & tune the e-manage. Will post up the results once its done and hopefully get it down Calder one night to see what it can pull in full street trim.

Well 5 months has passed and not much has changed because im a slack cvnt and sort of over cars.

I have the E-manage, Adjustable Cam Gears and custom turbo back exhaust sitting in the garage so they will go on at some stage when i get time and then tuned to 17psi.

If anyone wants to buy it, let me know ;)

Heres some more old photos i came across...also has updated tail lights on it now (not shown in pics).
