Got pull over once by a cop in a silver ve ss. I had a car load and all my mates were shining fellow road users in the eyes with a laser or something as you do, i cant remember but yer. Got the laser confiscated then picked it up 2 weeks later :drinks2:

Also got defected for having a ride height of 30mm of the ground. bullshit i tell ya.

Allsoooo got chased down princess hwy by some tosser undercover in a silver liberty saying i high beamed him at noble maccas. I did but only cause he called my car a piece of shit (which it is) as i was walking back to it, none the less my car was stock so they couldn't do anything. But 5 cops, 3 cop cars and 20 minutes later i was back driving around with no fines nothing and i wasted much needed time of the officers and cars all because one cop had a power trip.

Also dumped the cluch on springvale rd accidently and lost traction for about 60 feet and left a streak of smoke. Got pulled over for apparently cutting a cop off even though i didnt change lanes.... :S Got away with nothing but a lecture. These cops are so mean i tell you.

Mate... you were driving it on the road prior to pulling into your drive-way, they are perfectly within their rights to breath test and check over your car there just as they are anywhere else.

If the attitude you gave them is similar to what you have written, I am not surprised they then followed you across town to try and catch you out; they will probably pull you over every time they see you now.

Always be courteous to them, sure if the height is ok say so but try not to be a smart arse about it. 9 times out of 10 being courteous and honest will get you out of shit (for the other one time, you might have been full-hectic-sideways in front of two cop cars, one of which is TMU - in which case you will get your arse handed to you no matter what) even if you have done the wrong thing. Nothing worse than taking a situation where (if what you say is correct) you have done nothing wrong; then making the cops try and find something to pick you up on and put you back in your box, rather than making it a routine stop and letting them forget they ever saw you.

welcome to the life of a p plater mate, once you get off you p's it gets easier depending the way you drive

coppers are generally pricks, not alot they can do about it.

best advice i got is the more you argue with them and abuse them the more shit you will get into.

Mmmm walking to a mate's car from The Colonial (Infectious Saturdays, mmm 18 yo bitches), up William St. me and a couple of mate's spotted a divvy van coming out of a alley away a few metres ahead. The copper was having a good look, so a Lebo guy I was with said we should run for kicks. The copper came out of the alley on to William St and we ran in to the alley and then 10 metres down turned left in to another alley.... The copper must've done the quickest **** off u-turn in history and fanged it back in to the alley then down the one that we were in. I heard the V6 at WOT like 2 metres behind my legs.

Copped a massive amount of swear words and other stuff from the cop, then I got let off. I went back to save my mates, so they let them go and put me in the back of the van. I got a 10 metre ride in the back of a divvy van before they let me go. Winner.

Lol funny stories guys, all the times i've been pulled over ive been booked, except for random breath tests etc.

Except the first time i got fined. I was turning right at a set of lights probly going a lil bit too fast for a normal person but i still had control, and another car coming from the other direction turning left was making its way to the intersection and just after i get through the intersection, i get woop woop'd and some red and blue in my eyes. Thing that pissed me off with that was the other car i apparently 'failed to give way' to was at least 50 metres from the damn intersection.

Cops are pricks if you can prove it otherwise plz do lol. I've never been let off or warned by any coppers, the best i got from one of the assholes is an exemption to drive my car home after he booked me for it being unrego'd by 4 hours FFS at 4am or there abouts.

I have half a mind to believe the ipswich cops just hate my surname. Apparently all the males in our family get stuffed over the the po po.

Hah, well there's my rants.

Cheers.

One week later i got into a stack with a vt in my mums vs no insurance and it wasnt my fault as such because the stop sign was covered by a tree and the line was faded to a point were the driver has no chance of seeing it but i lost my fight with them and lost 3 demerits and $280 dollar fine.

I deserved the $670 fine but i didnt really deserve the $280 and 3 demerits becuase vicroads and the local council should have fixed the road but they finaly did it 1 week after my stack. Spewing $3500 grand damage to the vt and that was budgeted by the blokes mate who was a panel beater otherwise it would have been $5000+ and as for my mums vs commy it only needed a gaurd front bar and left indicator lens not even $300 worth off parts.

So you pulled up to an intersection and pulled out in front of another car and it wasnt your fault because the stop sign was covered? Heard of looking both ways before pulling out into an intersection?

$3500 grand is a fair bit of cash.

Lol at no bloody reason for a breath test and rwc check. Maybe hand in your license and rego if you dont like it.

Oh wait you drive unregistered cars anyway and that is the police forces fault too.

Mr_White_Ea wrote:Mate thats a funny story but it sounds like you guys were just asking for trouble from them.

I got pulled over in my old done up laser by a copper on a bike and he chased me for a whole minute before he came up near my window and started swearing at me for not stopping i said i didnt see him becuase i was looking for a parking on the main street and he just sweared his mouth off at me saying the law says you should check your rear view every 5 to 10 seconds well my rear view allways faced the floor becuase the bass would always push it down. Anyways he let me off but before he let me go he said the reason i was yelling out to you was to tell you to put your plate in the centre not on the side so we argued about the legality of the side plate on the front and in the end i said fine if it makes you happy i will get a special braket for it and he said thats all i wanted to say and i said ok thanks for the tip i will get straight onto that and sorry for making you ride your bike so fast to catch me and he said its cool just next time check your mirrors.

I dont mind if its for a good reason and if they give you a break but when they crack down on you for no reason and take your time away from you which in most casses its 5 to 10min it sucks becuase it means your late to where ever your going in my case to a job interveiw.

How do you know he was following you for a "whole minute" if you didnt see him because you were looking for a park?

Sounds like BS to me.

I like how its never your fault and you argue with them about everything then come on here and say you ignored cops for a whole minute, have driven unregistered cars on the road and dont take the appropriate care at intersections and cant believe that they crack the shits at you.

Reminds me of people that rort centrelink then complain when they get caught because it isnt fair and they should be allowed to work and claim the dole at the same time. Or people who get caught speeding then blame the speed cameras etc etc.

Heres a tip. Do the right thing and the cops will leave you alone. Or take your stories to ACA and tell Australia how much you are being picked on and its never your fault.

People do know, its not the Officers duty to prove your car is unroadworthy? (well it sort of is), but they are not Mechanics, they just have to suspect your car is unroadworthy then they can put a Defect on it.

She suspected your car was under 100MM at the Cat, and if it was then your car is unroadworthy and the people who wrote your RWC should have their asses kicked, why, because its 100MM from the Lowest point of the car, that could even be the bolts on the exhaust clamp.

And never go "The guy who wrote the roadworthy said it was legal etc etc" because if they look into this guy writing your RWC you will never get another off him again (They can look it up you know who wrote it)

And one last point, the police can come to your house upto 12 hours later after an accident and Breath Test/Drug Test you or force you into a hospital for a Blood Test to determine if you were drinking/high at the time of the accident, so if you have a large accident and do a runner etc don't go get on the Cans at your house, go somewhere else and make sure they can't find you.

Mr_White_Ea wrote:Hi i just wanted to make a thread where you can simply say what you think is taking things to far when it comes to our rights.

Three nights ago i had a cop in a ve ss follow me up my street tailgating me up my drive way and i jumped out the car when it was turned off and started walking towards the house when the cop goes (Can i see your licence) i said yes i showed her my licence and next thing i know wham heres a breath test and then she sat there for 5 min with my licence checking everything out and messuring out a piece of paper upto 100mm. She then gave me my licence walked around my car and checked all my tyres and measured it all the way around and goes (Its to low at the front near the cat) i said to her well every mechanic in this town reckons its legit how it sits and it passed a rwc how it sits so dont go telling me its too low. She said yer well the reason i pulled you over is becuase i saw you driving by and its to low especialy when you got a car load. So i said to her well the exhuast i dont care about since im doing a aftermarket cat soon so you stop winging about it and as for the ride height i dont care its legit and as for the car load i dont cruise with car loads becuase i cant stand having a loaded car. She then said to me well fine i will let it slide this time and checked my reg and then left and followed me across my town.

There is no bloody reason for this sort off check up on my car and she had no right to do all that in my drive way while my car was parked and for no reason and when i said to her (Its the first time ive been breath tested in my own drive way ) she said i can legaly breath test you anywhere.
I reckon thats just plain f*8ked as soon as you whack up a p plate they harrass you for no dam reason and try to canary your car even when its sitting there in your own bloody drive way.

So if you have any sort off story to tell about cops being unfair do share with us and please just dont include names or town or anything which can cause any harm to yourself or the cop who gave you s**t. also please dont write anything that can give this site a bad name or anything threatening towards the police its simply a story to tell if you have been miss treated.

Thanks.

I hope they keep bothering you just for being a lippy prick.

My step dad is a copper and so is my cousin and a few friends are coppers aswell, They all say that when they pull someone over and they are a smartarse they will go right over their cars do complete background checks and so on but if they are polite and so on they let them off with a warning (depending on what they pulled them up for)

So it pays NOT to be a smartarse and just say yes sir no sir.....
When i was on my P plates i was only ever pulled up once and that was becoz one of my headlights wasnt working So fair enuff... But if ya gunna drive like a dickhead then you deserve to be pulled up...

Cops are just doing their Job, They would rather defect a car then go to tell some family that their son, daughter, Wife, Husband< mother, Father etc etc that they have been involved in an accident and are now dead...

Ive now been pulled up by cops 3 or 4 times in both the ea and xf and ive been really nice to them.
Both times they have said nice cars and then just talked to me about them.
The last time i got pulled up in the xf he actually just looked at the stereo and then said have a nice day .
Each time i was really nice and just helpful.
But in my younger days when i was on my p's i was a smart ass and prob lead to the 10-15 odd defects that i got over 4 or 5 years .

Yep, all cops are kunts *end sarcasm here* i got pulled oter at more than double the speed limit. It was a moment of stupidity, and that is what i told the cop. He was kind enough to let of off with a warning as I was 100% honest, and also respectful. He had the power to fvck up the next year for me, but my honesty and respect at that time saved my ass

They target P platers because you are stereo typed. Pritty simple. They look at statistics and most hoons are p platers etc etc.

They are doing their job, they dont need any real reason to pull you over once a day other than to check you havnt been drinking etc.

Mate you suck at life for arguing with the cop about how legit your car is, thats not up for you to prove to the police, its up for you to prove to a RWC provider or the person at vicroads because the police have suspected it as being un roadworthy. Case Closed.

Your posts are full of contradictions. You went through a stop sign, you got caught driving an unregistered car, you give a cop attitude, whinge about how cops are unfair, then backpedal & say that everything that happened to you was fair and that you took it fairly.

So i said to her well the exhuast i dont care about since im doing a aftermarket cat soon so you stop winging about it and as for the ride height i dont care its legit and as for the car load i dont cruise with car loads becuase i cant stand having a loaded car

Speaking to the police like that just encourages them to look for anything and everything. By all means keep speaking to them like that, but I think you're lucky to get off. Some other officer might of been having a bad day and could easily have taken ur car off the road just because of how you spoke.

She then gave me my licence walked around my car and checked all my tyres and measured it all the way around and goes (Its to low at the front near the cat) i said to her well every mechanic in this town reckons its legit how it sits and it passed a rwc how it sits so dont go telling me its too low.

Yep, courteous!

You're a P-Plater. You drive an EA. Cops will target you, not much you can do about it other than driving a Camry or Hyundai.

I got breathoed on my P's (XE driver) often, pulled over for "random" checks... if you drive a Ford, a Holden, or a sikkunt import like a Skyline or Silvia, expect to get unwanted attention, because most driving offences of a "hoon" nature committed are in these cars, by 18-25yo males.

It does save a dickload of stuffing around if you don't get a defect in the first place though Frost.

I admit most of the times they pulled me over was fair becuase they just wanted a licence/rego/breath test check which is fair but its unfair that you only see p platers get pulled over half the time.

That's because P-platers are novice drivers, who make up a disproportionate amount of the road toll & traffic offences. You've been driving on public roads for how many years now?

As for the obscured stop sign & faded statcon, did you take photographs in similar weather conditions to present to the magistrate, or did you just whinge?
