I've had to deal with some real prick coppers before.

A couple of years ago i bought a manual vk wagon for a paddock bomb a mate came over and we decided to let rip for about 45 mins. While we were letting it cool down 2 cop cars rocked up, the local copper and 2 visiting tmu. The local said that he got a call about someone doing burnouts on the road and the tmu were adamant that it was us and that they were gonna impound my car. I told them that the car is unregistered and we did it safely in the paddock. They then told me that under the new hoon laws that had just come in they can impound a car just as well on private property. The only reason i got out of it was that the local talked them out of it because even he hadn't heard of it.

Another night i was driving my mate home from the pub at 2am going through the center of town and got pulled up by a copper. He said that i was speeding but admitted that he didn't have a speed camera. My mate who was very drunk started having a go at him saying that i wasn't and then the copper said to me that if i didn't shut my mate up he would. I couldn't stop either of them so the cop went to the passengers door and opened it saying he was gonna belt the shit out of my mate. So i said that i wanted his name, rank and badge number and that he would be hearing from my solicitor in the morning. After that he left just saying to expect a fine in the mail which i never got.

I've had plenty more experiences than that but there just some of the worst

So you've been driving for almost 4 years. Almost 2 years unsupervised. Definitely novice. You just need to suck it up & get through the rest of your P's.

Well, at least you only got done for failing to give way.

As for intersections & their linemarking & signage, I'm guessing the sign was installed before the tree was planted, or when the tree didn't encroach on the sign's visibility. And have a stab at how many intersections there are in your shire (there's around 26,000 roads in my shire & probably in excess of 100,000 intersections). That's a lot of intersections to try & keep on top of with linemarking, considering the lines only last 5 or so years tops. Then again, problem intersections which the public complain about do get bumped up the to-do list.

What's grammar? lol

First time i got pulled up for doing a skid i got away with it. I was doing donuts in the industrial estate in Jimboomba the friday after Peter Brock died. Smoke everywhere. Car was full of smoke i thought i was gone
i just said straight up i was being a dick head he was happy that i admitted it. They must have been really bored that night. They had me pulled up for 1 and 1/2hrs doing drug searches and lecturing us, got out with no fine no defect and no demerit points .
Another time at the spit one afternoon i was doing fully hectic fishies, in the sand pulled up to have a look at the water, then an unmarked crewman pulled behind me, screamed so much bits of spit landed on me for all of 5 mins then fucked off, i remember by the way he was going off he must have had something important to go to i reckon if he had time i would've been walking home.
Got done for speeding though once 4 points and $250. Then had a prang on 1 point probation lost 3 points. but apart from those minor incidents i haven't been hassled by the cops since i got rid of my silver EA it was a tuff shitter then it became shitter then just shit lol. Oh I also got done for doing a skid.
I just be respectful. If they want to fuk you over they will, and if they want to then Lube up ask them where they want you and take it like a bitch.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO A SKID MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO BURNOUT NAZI'S AROUND WITH CAMERAS

Your mate was lucky he didnt book him and charge him for being abusive and not co-operating with a police officer.

But your also lucky he didnt just arrest you all and inpound your car becuase he could have just called up for back up.

My neighbors told me that they were enjoying the show, the local copper looked it up and told me that the law does exist, and he's even threatened to impound my other car a few times under the same law.
We were both co-operating with them but it was almost like the cop was egging my mate on, and according to him i was doing 20k over so i doubt he could have impounded it for that.

Three nights ago i had a cop in a ve ss follow me up my street tailgating me up my drive way and i jumped out the car when it was turned off and started walking towards the house when the cop goes (Can i see your licence) i said yes i showed her my licence and next thing i know wham heres a breath test and then she sat there for 5 min with my licence checking everything out and messuring out a piece of paper upto 100mm. She then gave me my licence walked around my car and checked all my tyres and measured it all the way around and goes (Its to low at the front near the cat) i said to her well every mechanic in this town reckons its legit how it sits and it passed a rwc how it sits so dont go telling me its too low. She said yer well the reason i pulled you over is becuase i saw you driving by and its to low especialy when you got a car load. So i said to her well the exhuast i dont care about since im doing a aftermarket cat soon so you stop winging about it and as for the ride height i dont care its legit and as for the car load i dont cruise with car loads becuase i cant stand having a loaded car. She then said to me well fine i will let it slide this time and checked my reg and then left and followed me across my town.

There is no bloody reason for this sort off check up on my car and she had no right to do all that in my drive way while my car was parked and for no reason and when i said to her (Its the first time ive been breath tested in my own drive way ) she said i can legaly breath test you anywhere.
I reckon thats just plain f*8ked as soon as you whack up a p plate they harrass you for no dam reason and try to canary your car even when its sitting there in your own bloody drive way.

So if you have any sort off story to tell about cops being unfair do share with us and please just dont include names or town or anything which can cause any harm to yourself or the cop who gave you s**t. also please dont write anything that can give this site a bad name or anything threatening towards the police its simply a story to tell if you have been miss treated.

Thanks.

should have asked her poliately to get off your property, they can't legally request a breath test or check out your car for defects on your property nor enter/walk around your property without due cause.

happened to my brother once, he asked them to please leave the property and they had to he mainly asked them because he couldn't find his wallet with his liscence that week and thats not good for a p-plater :P

They can give you a PBT in your front yard if they want to. Once they ask and you refuse to give a sample you end up with massive fines and possible loss of licence. It's just easier if you do what they ask.

I got done for getting my thing sideways past a cop. Only reason why i kept my car and my license was that i gave him respect. Ended up speaking to him for like 20mins after he pulled me over
My bro got pulled over in his vn (fr17s, full exhaust, clean car) by a copper just near our pub. At the same time, they pulled over a shit box corolla with red Ps, barely legit. My bro was abit of a **** to the dude, told him thta he owned the car, when it is infact in our dads name, coppers comes back tells him its rego'd to someone else at the same address, bro sort of snaps. Coppers went right over his car cause he was a prick and let the rolla-block go, i was pissing myself the whole way home

Well I was expecting to get laughed at after making a statement like that.. good to see that Im not the only bloke on here that has some respect for the police force. :  Now is it just me or is the whole 'pig' thing just crap as well because it really pisses me off when my mates make statements like 'there go the pigs' or 'theres the mongrel pigs' etc... No doubt theres some cops out there to get you but the majority of the police force is there for the good.. if you walked out of a shop and looked for 20minutes and couldnt find your car.. who do you call first.. the police or your mummy..? Same case as if your house was robbed... :glare:

I like to pick and choose which laws I abide by and if I get caught out for something that I know is illegal then I will try and lie my way out of it. If that is not working then I will cop it sweet and deal with the consequences. All the while being polite, answering questions promptly and stating the answers as a matter of fact... even if they aren't quite true. You have to be prepared to take it like a man if the lies don't work though. So far I have been lucky and managed to talk my way out every time.

I think that this is pretty much the way most people handle such situations. Obviously the exception is people that get angry and uncooperative and go right past being able to talk their way out and just end up getting fisted.

Due cause is you were driving on a public road, and they have every right to breath test you. If you refuse they can charge you with that.

Re: Some cops just take things to far.

Postby vegabass » July 28th, 2009, 8:35 pm

I was done many times, lost points and handed over lots of money when I was in my teens and single. But every time i deserved it.

I learned from my mistakes and the advice given from the police finally sunk in. Now Im applying for the force.

golden gaytimes for the win :P

Yer it seems that most people just get kicks out of calling people names and shit.

And its true that some cops are just plain mean and that they only target p platers.

Not a dumbshit thread its simply there to share some storys whever its make beleive or real what ever you like aslong as it aint harming anyone in particular.

But f**k it some people just cannot help themselves.

No, do a search, people on Boosted Such as Dan, Commando etc are sick of hearing about P Platers saying they are being picked on by the Law.

Deal with it, don't rant in a thread on the Internet to people who don't know you.

Cops can PBT you if they suspect you were driving a vehicle, are driving a vehicle, if your in your driveway, 3 hours after an accident, incident, you cannot refuse them once you have answered the door, but if you do not answer the door, they cannot force you to give an PBT
Cops can defect you no matter how much you argue that your car is RW
Cops can impound your vehicle on private property (other than a registered motorsports complex), if the vehicle is registered and you were breaking the hoon law *edit* but they cannot enter your property without permission and you tell them to leave they will issue you a surrender notice for the offending vehicle.
You can be fined for Drink Driving, Driving a vehicle on a private property
You are not required to follow speed limits or seat belt/mobile phone laws when driving on private property
You are required by law to state your name and address to the police if you are driving a motor vehicle
You are not required by law to state your name/address if the police come to the front door without a search warrant.

Thanks for for the post frost it explains alot about our rights.

Dan and commando etc are probably sick of these posts then they should have tolled me this right away and delete the thread and its simple as that instead they encourage others to do what they did and call people names and start s**t.

Plain and simple if you dont like these threads then delete the whole thread it will probably end this s**t right here right now and get over it.

F**k its only a stupid thread delete it i dont care.

But heres a tip for the admins and moderators include it into your banning section that you highly dislike people ranting on about there cop problems and they might have a chance to avoid getting treaded the way i have been.

I thought this site was totaly cool until this thread and now its put me off it becuase off people acting all tuff behind a key board.

Its not like i meant to piss anyone off so please go ahead and delete it and forget about this thread and i wont make another one.
