Admittedly I have heaps of receipts dating back nearly 10 years ago - thrown plenty of money at the three cars I have had since getting my lic in 1997...easily a decent whack of a house deposit  ah well - it's all a labour of love*

on the new setup approx $29050+ that's just the main parts i can think of. the fuel side just cost $3400+

this is a list of stuff i have changed over the last 3 yrs since the turbo, lost count of the money spent..

Ive had 5 different Turbo's on the car (go Garrett)
4 different exhaust manifolds (the best one is the 6boost to date)
2nd diff still holding and will hold till 9s (the best of them all.. It was for free)
6th auto on the car (the BTR held on well, just killed the clutches)
2 different ecu on the car (cant get better than MoTeC)
4 different injectors (indy blues are the shit)
4 different cylinder heads (don't ask)
5 different cams (got greedy)

lol if you have to worry about scraping together enough cash to live then maybe modifying cars isnt the right hobby to be in.

I spent $17k on the maverick before I got rid of it. I got rid of it because it was gonna cost another $7k or so before I was happy.

Lots has been spent on cars prior to that too. It was fun but thinking back it wasnt that fun.

I've lost count actually, but it has to be over 20k all up now. I have spent $1230 in the last week alone getting it ready for PowerCruise that starts in three weeks and there is more to be done in those next three weeks. God damn it I better have fun at PC this year.

Good luck with that PC curse you QLD'ers seem to have.

Current ute has cost be $2125 including 12 months rego. :S

Best ute ever.

Contemplating spending cash making it faster and better or spending a similar amount of cash and getting a newer ute instead. Old age must be kicking in.

$34000 to buy EBXR8 new.. 8 years latter I bought a Dart block, forged rotating assembly ..
Built new engine .. Then added twin plate clutch, TKO trans..
Already had TFS heads and induction..Turbo conversion on 5.0 which was $3500
Then some new b/b T3/4 SC61's turbos and new ECU , 85 Lb injectors, twin 3" exhaust and tune..
Lately I have bought a new WRX but didn't trade any car in..
I must be a car nut as I still have the XR8tt, 94 auto WRX and an 08 WRX...
The Mrs didn't want to sell the auto which is now being fitted with rebuilt STI RA engine...
I must be a tiger for punishment..
In between I'm building a track only RA28 Mustang shape Celica with S475 turbo 1UZ, Powerglide and 9"..
These could only be done due to MOST fabricating we do ourselves...
Same with my son's car... A few friends helping each other out with their skills sure helps keep expenses down..
Although due to the fact we can !! Then we say WHAY NOT ?? Then build it ...
Bare bones stage with dead motor installed for fabrication etc..Carona complete front suspension with rack and pinion simply bolts in to allow fitment of 4.0 alloy V8 Lexus engine..
