Meh, I have NFI about Jap cars mechanically, but that thing looks tough.

Though I have heard the early supras were a bit suss...

Awesome. Put a massive single turbo on there, punch out 1000rwhp, put on some drag radials and go for low 12s :)

Seriously, supras are great cars - the powertrains in them are probably the toughest factory setup on the planet.

You really need to swap the wheels for something a little less......feminine...though :P Have a look on nissansilvia.com and get something 18x12 at the back and 18x10 at the front :)

bentles - wtf? 80s supras/jap performance cars are the tuffest looking cars ever. Angles and attitude ftw.

Hahaha, that reminds me of that supra joke...

What do a 400rwhp supra and a 900rwhp supra have in common?

They both run 12's.

it's a good thing if you like having a 900rwhp car that only does 12s LOL

i would go external gate 3582r or T04z for shizzle
getting over 600rwhp in a manual car is getting a bit silly really, it becomes not very good at anything except skating at "fukk im dead" speeds and picking up other faggots at dyno days.

chop chop with the big single, big single will stop me bagging your kit and rims, i promise.

Lol...It's like a running joke across the whole of teh innernetz - That supras only do 12s. 400rwhp, 600rwhp, 1200rwhp, the only thing that changes is the MPH, they'll still only do a 12:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejQkLDm_iJA

BTW 1000rwhp is tough, you should definitely do it.

Considering the prices of GT51R conversion - safe to say, none of it will be on the cards anytime soon - high flow C20s and make it a true TT Glenn ;)

^^^looks like a remote control car :P

You should learn how to speak Japanese Glenn - or better off yet, try out for the 'typical white boy' in a Tokyo Drift sequel

I can make it a "true TT" now, i like having boost from 2000rpm till 8000rpm though.

high flowed ct20's = more expensive than converting it to say a gt3540.

Also i'm not sure about all of them, but that red/black jgtc supra runs a 1UZ not a 2JZ :(

There has been a number of them dipping under 20k lately. Some are still priced highly, but with the arse end falling out of the used car market, they're slowly getting there.

Front bar has been changed, failside is no more.

I considered getting new rims but some sik jap rims are like $2k without rubber... that and my rear rims are 9" so they're earning their keep with 275's on the back

defintely alot smoother now

the stud pattern is the same as BA/BF so you shouldnt have too much trouble finding rims, although the hub is supposedly only 60mm so would need a spigot ring made up for wheels with typical 70-73mm hub hole
