I couldn't make up my mind if I had to decide, supra, skyline (R34 - GTR), WRX (probably an 04), silvia S15... RX-7
They're all nice..

I don't think I could bring myself to own any of those. Despite how brilliant they all are, for some reason I'd just feel like an absolute prat sitting behind the wheel of one :?.

I voted RX7. With handling comparable to an MX5 (very good) plus the possibility of plenty of power on tap. Light and nimble.

R32 or R34 (probably GTS-T with RB26/30 built) would be my second choice as they can be made to handle ok (but aren't as good as an RX7 to start with)

Assuming no specific budget but using the 'best bang for buck' rule and not going crazy...

If I wanted a four cylinder car I would get an S14a. Done right I like how they look a bit more than an S15.
If I wanted a manual six cylinder car I would get a Supra. Can't beat the sound of a JZ on song, add a big single conversion and it would be so sick. If it didn't need to be manual then an Aristo or Chaser would be the choice.
If I wanted an AWD car a GTR would be on the cards for sure, R34 preferably (I love all the onboard computers and gadgetry) but they are a little pricey so an R32 would be the choice in the end I think.
WRX... pfffft, they haven't been cool for nearly ten years.
As for rotaries it would have to be one of those in the example pictures. I think to have a rotary it can't be mild or stock it needs to be off it's tits. Plus I can't afford that many fuel pumps.

Having said all that I was recently in the market for a nice car to drive when I wasn't in the mood for driving my Falcon. I gave myself a budget of $10,000 and I settled on a Soarer TT, I got it a few weeks ago in fact. The budget I set put me out of the range of a Supra and just out of reach of a Chaser or Aristo so I settled for the next best thing by getting the 2J's little brother... a 1J Soarer.

PS: Notice I didn't mention R33 Skyline... too many teenagers own them these days, everyone seems to have one. Plus they certainly aren't the best looking imports IMO.

I'd own an RX7, but I don't know enough about rotary donks so a Supra would be the next choice, but only with a big single. If it were 4WD (eg. for running from cops through backstreets) it would be an EVO all the way.

Out of that poll there are only 3 that i'd knock back lol. r33, soarer and Wrx, they dont do it for me.
The rest of them i'd have i'd also have an AE 86 with a turbo LS1, i'd also have various corollas ke70, ke55 etc, and RX3 coupe :D i'd have nearly any car as long as it looks good and goes hard or just goes hard lol, but other wise i'll stick to my cheap ass el

 You used to be cool. hahaha.

They definitely aren't the best, but I still voted R33. I reckon bang for your buck they're better than a Supra (mainly because of the initial cost of getting a Supra in good condition). Given a big budget I'd take a MK3 Supra though and throw in a Tew Jay Zeeeee + T88. That would be more than enough to put a grin on your face.

For something I could get as a next car, i'd probably go a R33 but then i'd probably think about it a bit longer and spend the extra cash and get a R32 GTR. Then after that i'd get a Supra :D

That first R32 GTR looks just like mine. :)

R33, too many mistakes....GTR owners know what im on about. ;)

R34, they fixed it all up and made it better but heavier.

R35, quickest, no doubt but went paddle and lost the drivers car stick.

$ for $ the R32 is the true Godzilla, winning all its Jap group A races in its first season, all the other models are built on its reputation.

Its just like the 351 GT Phase 3 HO and comparing it to the latest GT's, the old ones got the soul, the new ones feeding off it.

Hard to vote really.. Never really been a big skyline fan, tho lately I've been seeing alot of r32's (I think).. are they the older ones that look real clean? that look real scmik with just a set of wheels dumped with no wing. But I've always loved S15's... that would be my car if I was into the jap scene but if I was 'really' into the jap scene and money wasnt an issue, rx-7 all the way! But.. I'll never own any of them so no vote!...

But if I 'were' to go buy a foreign car right now, first I'd look at is probably a MY05 Subaru Liberyt GT... just always liked them...!

Nothing a torque split controller couldn't do to a GTR, 2wd, 4wd and play with everything in between too.

The good thing about the R32 GTR is you dont need to drop the front shafts, its all done inside via one little box.
