whats a el tickford auto ecu worth?

hey just got a ecu with my ghia when i bought it, the car has the xr6 motor and 3.45 lsd so im assuming it comes with a tickford computer too? the guy i got it off put a concorde computer in it or something i dunno why but he gave me the old one.

whats it worth? i know its like $500 for a manual el tickford ecu but not sure what the auto ones are going for these days

IMO, now that the J3 is in widespread use and has the ability to turn any e-series ECU into a tickford spec by loading the bin file, it pretty much makes all ECUs the same value...

Who would pay $500+ for a manual ticky ECU when you can buy a J3 and tune one to make it just as good, if not better?

Not everyone is aware of J3's. Then there's the other bunch of retards who only want "genuine" parts on their highly collectible e-series.

I'd personally say around $150-$200 should be achievable on ebay. Just emphasise Tickford, XR6 and rare in your listing!

Advantages of that computer are the Tickford Tune and the Speed Sensitive power steering, probably still fetch some coin for it because there are people with EL Fairmonts that install the SSPS and require the ECU to operate, i'd put $100 as a starting bid.
