what's the deal with swearing?

Like the name says; wats the deal?? I swear alot, i try not to, but yeah, and i always hav to edit my posts after i send them. So is there a limit on swearing and words we cant say, or can we swear as long as its not directed at somone or in a threatening manner, towards them or their car.
