Mel here, Newbie to the E series club!

Postby Melu » October 8th, 2009, 3:32 pm

Hai everyone!

My name is Mel, and I'm pretty new to this forum. I am getting my Ef Futura on the weekend, which is so exciting, and my Boyfriend (Absolute ef) has been a member of this forum for ages, so I figured I'd join too :D

Here is a pic of the car I'm getting.

Image

My plans are to put a brand new sound system in it, rims, lower a bit, clear taillights, replace front headlights if I can't get the yellow off them, and a few stickers to personalize it!
When I get the car I'll post a new board so people can follow it's progression. Hurray!

It's going to be strange going from a two door Integra to a big Ford, but I've been itching for a bigger car for a while!

BTW, My Integra is still for sale xD I need to sell asap, here's a pic.

Image
Pic is a tad old, I'm on green Ps now and off them next month. The red P is from before the rules changed lol. The Tegra is going for 5k OBO. Feel free to PM me ;)

Well, thanks for allowing me to join guys and girls, I look forward to sharing the progress of my new Futura with you all

~Mel

Howdy.

You should just be able to polish the crap outta your headlights to get them clear, otherwise aftermarket ones aren't that exxy.

Nice one, the colour you've got there isnt one I see gettin around that often......looks pretty clean!
The clear tail lights i reckon out of all the falcons suit best on the EF/L, so like you said that'd be on my to do list as well.
From there id do all the other cosmetic changes before choosing wheels ie: Window tint, remove the side 4.0 OHC stickers, grab a set of new aftermarket headlights, (they'll look heaps better) and can you get clear EL side indicators? otherwise id see if a pair of AU ones or similar would fit in and look okay as im pretty sure the el ones are a bit longer.
look forward to a few more pics as it progresses

Thanks guys! Yeah, the colour seems to be uncommon, When I saw it I immediately fell inlove wit it lol. It's in amazing condition, no scratches or scuffs lol.

Yeah I'm gonna try polishing the head lights first, see how that goes.

It turns out that I'm getting some awesome rims from a friend! So I'll be saving like a grand or so, which is great. I might tint the windows, but the tail lights will be one of the first things to go on the car lol.

Ah I see, I have seen the clear indicators on ebay I think.

Is that Reef Green?

An EF Futura is a pretty good model to pick for entering into the world of E-Series, it has all of the basic features of current cars (front electrics, abs, airbag(s), cruise)... good choice!

@Commando: Thanks! I was hoping I'd find a Futura, I wanted power windows haha!

Yeah, Reef green seems to be a little more uncommon than other ef colours. I can't wait to get it.

@psychotic-angel: Awe, that's too bad. xD I really hope I sell it quickly. I'm a bit sad to sell it but I'm way too excited about my new ef lol.

I will keep you guys updated on what I do to the Futura. It won't be anythign too drastic -shakes near empty wallet- But it'll look better for sure!
