Gday everyone!

I'm Leo, just bought my second car, a gorgeous '96 XR6. First car was an EA that I got for a carton of beer and drove it til she died. Lasted me for about 18 months before she carked it, which was December last year. Between then and now, I got by with riding a pushy to work as I was saving money for a trip to Europe. Did that, spent 2 months backpacking and running amok and got back in August. Back to work, start saving, then ended up with this beauty.

Might be a bit different from what some people here go for, but I'll be leaving her stock. I'm on the P's and insurance is already pretty steep as I've had an accident and speeding fine before, but I do quite like them as they are. Not disrespecting any of the awesome builds I've seen on here, because they're pretty amazing cars, but it's just not something I personally would do. Anyway, this examples got 170,000 on the clock and has been well looked after. Still has the original cassette player! Speaking of which, I'll be on the hunt for a genuine Ford CD deck to swap out for. Anyone know if the EF/EL came with CD players?

Anyway, enough of my dribble. Here's the pics from the listing. I'll take some new pics of her soon with my other love, a beastly Yamaha drum kit that this baby will be hauling to and from gigs.

Cheers and enjoy!

dont think he has any plans for it....

The only CD option you have for the EF/EL from factory is the CD stacker in the boot, but this tend to play up and wont read anything other then just your standard burn (or original) CD's just put a cheap aftermarket CD/MP3 player in it... you'll end up enjoying it more and costing you less.

Sorry to say there won't be any modifications going on here, at least not for a while. As I said, the insurance company already hates me, but on top of that, I've got my drums and gigging which can soak a bit out of the wallet here and there, and finally, I'm going to American and Canada for about three weeks early next year, so need to save for that.

The car is in excellent condition. I was looking at a few and specifically picked this one out because of how well it had been looked after. The other front runner had some fairly serious modifications that I really wouldn't be all too interested in - had 19" wheels (no thanks), and a massive sound system, including a sub that took up pretty much all the boot space. I actually use my boot!

But although she won't be taken down the route of hardcore performance mods, she'll still be well looked after and I'd definitely be keen to join in any cruises or meets that you guys put on.

Thanks for the welcome.

Cheers!
