reversing camera's/sensors

Postby nstg8a » October 18th, 2009, 2:26 pm

has anyone fitted a camera or sensors to a falcon?

im seriously considering fitting a reversing camera to my ghia, i had a close call the other day backing out of my driveway, nearly bowled a small kid who was running round.

my driveway is kinda elevated, that combined with the ghia rear headrests and the venetian means i have sweet f all rear vision when im backing out, easily a big enough blindspot to nail a child. (although with my current ride height if the child is less than 3 feet tall they will just get a bit of oil on their head lol.

cos i live in a gated complex the kids treat the road that goes round the complex like their own driveway, and take no notice of cars whatso ever

how hard are they to fit? do you get decent vision out of them? oh, and how much roughly?

ive got one installed under my spoiler. lead goes through the roof headlining and down the pillar. its a wagon though, so its significantly higher. ive also got a 2DIN head unit so hooking it up to that was a no brainer
