Not sure what they cost to rebuild.

Ring up and get a few quotes.

Harden the **** up and get a spool :D

Personally, I think the BW LSD's are dangerously inadequate/inconsistent.

You need to host them elsewhere. Like http://www.photobucket.com or http://imageshack.us/ then link them to this site.

Mine have done at least 30,000km's, and that's many burnouts, a few drag days etc. I bought them when I bought my wheels, 3 years ago i think.

Commando wrote:That may be so for a spool.

Davo, after watching schmee's effort the other week, and having been in many many falcons with LSD's, I'll have a spool any day. At least they're consistent. Who here has a Lokka? Rollin. Anyone else? Nope, you're all taking his word for it that they are that good. I don't doubt it, but I'm pretty passionate about the fact the LSD's ford bestowed upon falcons are worse than diarrhoea.

EDIT: my bad, thought you were doubting the spool's awesomeness. Meh :D

Oi Jarred,

Before reading your edit, I was going to mention that I wasn't quite doubting spools ;) however Rollin is like some form of sub-god to me so I'd take his word over my LSD

Mine seems to be behaving though. A good diff is like a good woman, it should be cheap, effective, and be able to be thrashed all day without complaining. My LSD seems to be holding up fine, despite battling with 245s, but I'm kind of keen on seeing what this lokka fuss is all about. It's kind of like taking your girlfriend to the strippers, you know that what you've got is orright, but what you see out there in front of you, goddamn you just want the lokka under you, getting punished, coz the LSD is kind of meh

Sif any of us here want our tyres to last anyway! Except Domn8n

Commando feels he should add that he luffs his LSD and respects it no matter how much he thrashes it, and that the LSD shouldn't worry about a Lokka I might secretly store away coz I won't be touching it til the LSD expires.

yeah , they are the friction surfaces that are forced outwards into the centre, they bottom out when they are worn so they cant lock, you can also grind them down so they dont bottom out.

Fixed.

Ditch the LSD, get a lokka. It will cost the same as getting the LSD rebuilt but will last forever and there is minimal trade-off in drivability, for 100% predictability, strength and sikness. Spools are crap.

P.S. Gozilla, Bipolar and I will be making a short Open Vs LSD Vs Lokka video on the weekend, I'll post it as soon as I can, to give you guys some idea of what you are getting into. Unless you are all shtknts you will love it.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Mini spools are always poping up on ebay for around $100.

Lokkas there is a group buy thread in the sale section of these forums. Link here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1310 info here http://www.4wdsystems.com.au/html/lokka.htm
