yeh done 5 mt dandenong runs since i got it last night lol..
and lysterfield road... and cruised princess last night.

if that t5 conversion doesnt sell an i grab it off ya you can take it for a bit of a fang if u want

not too bad, I chopped a MY00 WRX aaages ago with a rooted clutch in my XR8. They move alright standard.

I remember one night aaaages ago I had a full car load and lined up a 95 or 96 WRX and got absolutely raped. The guy launched it hard as and I just never caught up.

Yeh with mine if u slip clutch to like 3500 an nail it out of the hole it builds alot of boost off the line. If u launch slow then punch it don't get nearly as good a launch but u don't risk slipping clutch. Had bad clutch slip into 2nd when I was still pulling away from the vx lol

my race was a rolling start, so the kunt may not have been able to drive... Just cause I beat one doesn't mean I'll beat em all. Your only 30fwkw down on mine, but also 300kg so that should more than even it out.

well a my00 weighs like 1250kg mine has 160kw@motor... so take a few hundred kg off a e series and add awd

yeh it all comes down to driver skill... rollers in rexys hard kind of hard... from like 50 or 60 or so they are good but 80-90 they are shit cos u gotta be in 3rd...

Yea, this was a roller from 60 though... My AU has apparantly 185fwkw, and 1700kg, so it fair moves for the power to weight ratio it has. Retard in WRX = Chopped, Half decent driver in WRX = possibly either way

Lies. I chopped my mates standard bug eye rex multiple times in my old AU with 148 at the treads. Neither of us could drive for shit, so skill was no factor. They just corner a hell of a lot better!

turns out i fail @ coilovers... just read the instructions cos i was bored and found out i set the height wrongly lol!!! will fix it tomorrow at work... that will probly explain why the rear end felt like it was tracking fuckin funny tonight lmao.... im a spanner

Rex's are slow in the corners - they brake too much! At least that's my experience with two experienced "pilots" on the reefton and black spurs. I reckon my mx-5 can pull 10-20km/h more per corner (as proven when they let me in front

On the straights I had no chance but two corners later and I was caught up easily.

yup would be interesting... swaybars are 2 weeks away on back order atm... hopefully have them in before gor...

also fixed the adjustment issue i was having last night .... they are set up right now... kind of about 1 " lower than stock or so looks a lil better but drives much nicer then how i had it adjusted before... the ass doesnt seem to have as much of a delay as it did yesterday

Both WRX's were boosted up a little, one had full bushes/shocks replaced all around a couple of weeks before.

I think the MX-5 was stock (And running firestone firehawk wide ovals at the time)

i've since put KYB AGX adjustable shocks and Vogtland springs in and running bridgestone potenza adrenalines (up for another two at $240 a pop now, thanks to running -1.75 degrees camber on the front!) so I can corner even quicker again. Last time I had it on a cruise I had an R33 GTR following me down mt donna buang and while he was all over me in the straights he couldn't match my corner speeds (those things are supermegafuckingquick on corner exit/straights and pretty fast on corner entry, but not quite fast enough

)

I'm tempted to take the MX on the GOR cruise but seems a little silly as I have actually got an E-series here to take...

Last time I was on the GOR the road surface was farked though. Still deciding which way to go. At the moment it's looking like the A/C condensor is farked in the EB (wheras the MX5 has aircon that works even with the top down!) so the mx5 is looking more the way to go...
